Jade leaf tea: infinite stars! - Other than having an issue with the shipping and delivery team of desertcart, (which I get into down below) I wish I could give the product an infinite amount of stars! This is the best Matcha powder ever!! I make lattes using water, almond Milk and vanilla stevia drops. This tea the best!!! I ordered matcha powder from another company and using the same method to make it, and it was so gross and kept separating. I had previously ordered the trial size of the Jade leaf and loved it. Found a different one that was cheaper per ounce and it was crap. I purchased some from my local grocery store and it was tolerable, but not good either. Jade leaf is simplythe best! Jade leaf tastes like what I would get at Starbucks! If you do not want to read about my horrible desertcart experience, please stop reading now. desertcart shipping did me wrong and customer service was horrible! I ordered the jade leaf tea in the slightly bigger size a week ago, (Sunday) expecting it on Wednesday. Tuesday it said it shipped, no big deal. Wednesday I was sent a notice that my tea was running late. This was AN HOUR before guaranteed arrival time, not acceptable. So I contacted desertcart chat and the lady explained that they didn't have the product at the facility closest to me, so it had to come from a further facility. Uhm, how did they ship me a product Tuesday that they didn't have? I was offered money off and free product. I declined because I'm fine with paying for my items and I wasn't complaining to get something for free, all I wanted was my tea and to figure out exactly when I was getting it! Anyway, so Friday comes along. My product had arrived at my city facility at 4:45 am on Thursday. Usually this means I will get my product that day. Thursday, nothing, Friday, nothing. Friday I was on chat with a guy who decided he didn't want to listen to my frustration and kept repeating himself. Mind you, I am not accustomed to swearing at people or being rude when trying to problem solve. All he kept telling me is he would email the facility. Uhm, that's not a resolution. He kept saying that he could cancel and reorder it for me. How does that get me the tea that I'm now conspiring someone is holding for random? I shouldn't have to reorder a product because something happened on desertcart's end. Finally after an hour and fifteen minutes, he beat me down. I had asked for a manager, he wouldn't connect me to one. He said, well they can't do anything more for me than what he could do. Really? The nice lady (who lied to me) offered me everything she could think of for my inconvenience. He wouldn't do anything. I even told him what she had offered. Nope, nothing. I was so frustrated with him. Even more frustrating is that he marked the package that I refused it. No. No, I did not! I would have rather had the tea here at my house on Thursday when it arrived in my city. He made it seem like it was my fault the package wasn't at my house. I totally understand that life happens. Lying to your customers when they have blatantly asked to be told the truth about what really happened isn't acceptable either. I kept asking what was going on. This is why I requested and was refused a manager. The story doesn't end there, sorry to all of you who have made it this far. To top off all of this, I was almost offended by the question he asked. He asked me if green tea really helped with fat loss. You should not be asking the customers this because it can be taken that you are calling someone fat. He had told me he wasn't from the U.S., which is why I was slightly offended. Also, I know in other countries, women are not held at the same level as a man, I could sit here and wonder, but have no facts to back it up. No, I will not give out his name, I don't believe in slander. I have not submitted any grievance to desertcart, so therefore, they can't do anything if I don't say anything. All I wanted was my product. Side note. If you were wondering why I didn't just leave and get someone else to help, I tried. If you've never done chat before, you can't just leave the conversation and get someone else. I kept trying. Nope, same frustrating guy who is on my last nerve. After over an hour of arguing and not doing anything to make it even slightly right and then make it seem like it was my fault, plus making me feel like I was fat, I was done! I hope someone from desertcart does read this and maybe someone else doesn't have this struggle. Review: Perfect for Matcha Lattes! - I absolutely love Jade Leaf matcha for its flavor. Although I have a soft spot for ceremonial grade, this is excellent for making your own flavored matcha lattes at home. It's packaged in a sealed, foil lined bag with a zip type closure. It's sturdy and will stand up on its own, but I would instead recommend transferring the powder to a reliable airtight container in the fridge if it starts to cake in the zipper. The directions on how to prepare a shot to add to drinks are provided on the bag, so take note first! The flavor is green and bright with a velvety smooth texture. I use about 2.5tsp per 20 oz latte, mix a few oz of water at 160 degrees fahrenheit and pour it over my iced drink base and top with foam. It's so much cheaper to make at home than to order in a store, and your drinks are completely customizeable because it contains no sugar or sweetener. I highly recommend giving it a try!
