Does the s pen require charging?

Hi, No the pen doesn't require charging, but it doesn't have all the features as the S pen pro. It only opens the air functions and allows you to use the pen to write on the phone. I had to return the case and purchase the S-pen pro which is so big it doesn't fit any case I have bought. It looks like the only product that the S pen pro fits is the case with the with the wireless keyboard and mouse.
