Comfortable and sturdy. Watch for sales to get the best deal.
We’ve only had this for 1 month but so far it’s working great for my mom. Her knees hurt sometimes and this gives her a way to get around the house. The chair is sturdy. It’s made of metal but fairly lightweight. The seat is comfortable. She was able to learn how to use the controller pretty quick. She keeps it on slow speed around tight areas so she doesn’t slam into something and break the controller. The controller is made of sturdy plastic but will break if hit hard enough. We got it on sale around Thanksgiving and the price was great compared to similar chairs. We wanted one with handles in case we needed to push it when the battery is low. I found the website and they sell spare batteries and replacement parts if needed. Check the manual and the website is part of their email address.

Fantastic product!
This was the best thing I ever purchased for my Mother! It literally changed her life. So easy to use, so light weight and easy to transport. Not just economical, but solid, safe, never a problem. We also never went anywhere that someone didn’t stop us and ask where we got it. We always said we should get commission for all the referrals! Great product and so glad that I found it for her on Amazon!

Excellent lightweight wheelchair.
This chair is as very lightweight, easily folds up to lift into trunk of the car. My husband likes its ease of maneuvering around the house and due to the size is easy to get through doorways. Only had one small issue of one of the tip wheels kept falling off but rectified that by putting a lock nut on it. We recently ordered a backup battery direct from Verpal and their customer service was great. It gets used everyday and seems to be well made. Highly recommend this chair.

Best buy ever!
This wheelchair has been a life saver for my Dad. Whenever we went out we would have to lug the manual one in and out of the car and push him all over. This wheelchair is light, takes up no space and he gets to wheel around where ever he likes, giving him back his independence when on the go! It's very well made.

Lightweight and sleek
I have to say it is the lightest wheelchair I have ever purchased, and I love the fact that you can remove the motor which is heavy in and of itself so that you can take the wheelchair out of your car and set it up and then put the motor in. I have Harrington Rods in my back. I cannot lift anything heavy, and this gives me the freedom to go where I want to go and yet be able to take it out and put it back into my car without assistance. It has wonderful maneuverability. I love the design. It actually looks very sleek and modern. It is basically stripped down to its bare bones so you would want to get a seat pad and maybe a backpack pad depending on your condition. So far so good I will try to update my review in six months or so, but so far I am extremely pleased. I wish it was a little cheaper. I have purchased three other electric wheelchairs over the past few years and although they met my needs somewhat, the price was a lot cheaper than this. I hope this company is able to lower its price as soon. I would highly recommend for someone who wants to be independent.

Life changing
I bought this to replace my three wheel mobility scooter because the scooter became too difficult to take apart, put in my car, take out of my car and reassemble in order to go somewhere. This wheelchair folds easily and I can put it in and take it out of my car by myself. There is a small learning curve to get used to operating it with a joystick, but I caught on quick. This is far superior to the mobility scooter and I am thrilled to have it. UPDATE: I have had this chair for three months now and am so happy with it, I’ve named it Oliver. I am able to walk around my home now (had major foot surgery a month before I bought this), so I leave Oliver in my car. When he needs charging, I simply pop the ~4 lb battery off and bring it in the house to charge. One of the things I love most is the maneuverability. Initially, I was using Oliver indoors because my knee scooter was painful on my hips. The speed settings allow for precision control indoors. There is no hand break. Breaking is automatic when you let go of the joystick, but it’s not so abrupt as to catapult you out. I estimate that if you are going the slowest speed, maneuvering around in your home around hallways, corners, and doorways, the stopping distance is 6-8 inches, which means you can avoid scratching your walls and door trims. You can also ease up on the joystick when approaching corners and doorways, which reduces the stopping distance, lending to stellar maneuverability. Once you get the hang of it, it corners great. I’m a bit of a speed demon and Oliver allows me to whiz around and take corners like a champ. Makes my husband laugh. I drive a convertible, which means I have limited trunk space. Oliver doesn’t fit in the truck. He does fit in the back seat, but I only put him there if the weather is nice enough for the convertible top to be down and I have a passenger. It would be extremely difficult to put him in the back seat with the top closed because the car is two door and the backseat area isn’t even properly comfortable for a normal person to sit in because of the limited leg room. Since I am usually alone in my car, Oliver is in the passenger seat, buckled in with the seatbelt. I am able to put him in and take him out by myself. My disability is mainly spinal, hips, and legs. I am a 58 year old woman and by no means a body builder. I’m 5’9” and 230 lbs, and thanks to Oliver, living my best life. - See photo of Oliver in my car. I have a large reusable, washable doggie pee pad on the seat to protect the car seat. You can’t see it in the picture, but the seatbelt is looped through the frame where the foot rests are mounted.

Awesome Lightweight Electric Wheelchair
1) This is an amazingly lightweight wheelchair, lighter than most manual wheelchairs. My wife uses it on every outing and we have used it on cruises. Battery life is great - All day on a regular basis. 2) We had an issue where the controller separated from the cord that runs to the battery/motors, probably an issue caused by operator error. I called Verpal and they shipped me a replacement, no questions asked. Their customer service is first class! This is an awesome choice for older customers that might have issues lifting heavier chairs. In spite of how light this chair is, it is very sturdy because of the carbon fiber construction. I would buy another one if this unit ever fails. Try it - You’ll love it!
