A: I don't see any problems with charcoal as long as you won't put a blower on it.

**Q: What is the clearance under the bottom of it?**
A: Hi it is approximately 8 to 10 inches. Hope this helps.

**Q: Does the top open from both sides**
A: the ikuby outdoor fire pit only open from one side, not both sides

**Q: What's the size of grill?Can the fire pit provide 5-6 people barbecue**
A: it's about 22 inch, I think it' enough for 5-6 people bbq

We live in an arid grassy high desert forest and this fire pit is ideal. We had to have a complete enclosure and this thing is a great way to do that. It is a little tricky to assemble, but the instructions do a good job of helping you out. It is a solid sturdy quality product when you get it all put together. We are so happy with this product. it provides a wonderful safe and generous campfire and grilling experience while also keeping fire safety at the top of the list.
