I bought this for butchering uses. It arrived beautifully boxed, and the materials feel quality and sturdy. I was able to shave my arm hair with it out of the box, and it is well weighted for heavy chopping. I bought it for use on my chickens when butcher time comes and having tested it on a carcass am confident in its ability to aid in the process. It’s a beautiful piece of fantasy and function, but many may find it’s size and weight intimidating and cumbersome. Pros: Well weighted Sharp Heavy duty safety case Beautiful stand Functional and beautiful Cons: May be to heavy for some May be to large for some I was able to get it on sale but would still consider it at retail price having seen and felt it.

Was pleasantly surprised by quality and performance of this particular knife. It was exactly like advertised. Did have some bad experience prior to this one. It does chopping perfectly with ease through meat and bones. My friends were impressed and jealous:)

Awesome. The best is what I love. This knife/cleaver is so beautiful and well made. That's mostly what I love about it. I'll probably never really use it but it is one of my collection knives. I have now have all three Dalstrong gladiator cleaver knives. They look awesome on my large dresser. If you love knives as I do...buy one. You won't be able send it back!
