I wanted a simple way to charge my phone from the cars MMI and not have to use the 12V plug or cigarette charger. I have no need for MMI integration as I use bluetooth as the source. When car is off, this is a slow charge but once started, it shows as "Fast Charging" - with my phone on 60%, it said it would take 57 minutes to full (which makes it about 2.4A as advertised).
