Excellent to apply to the neck of my Takamine guitar. Perfect color and texture match. I will definitely buy again if needed for this guitar or others. Very fast shipping a couple days faster than was anticipated.

I'm not a good painter by any means so this could be entirely user error and not a problem with the product. But I had a hell of a time getting the paint to keep from cracking. In stable temperature, not too humid, guitar body was prepped properly, and I still had issues. Again, could be me, not the paint itself. I've just never had that issue painting anything else.

After watching a few videos I purchased this lacquer to refinish an old Gibson guitar. I applied gloss black lacquer over automotive primer. I bought two cans @ $35 for each can. I followed the instructions and warmed the cans before use. The first can applied fairly evenly but the second can I had all kinds of problems with splatter. I had to sand out some big globs of paint and put on another coat. I tried shaking the can, heating warmer and lower but the splatter would not stop. I had to spray for a couple of seconds then clean the nozzle with a rag to stop the splatter. The other problem was orange peel. I have used other brands for 1/3 the price and gotten better results. If I had to do this over again, I would use a less expensive lacquer.
