It’s where you see the half moon cut out. That’s for cutting glass or hard plastic and acrylic. Though I would recommend getting an actual glass cutter. The side with the crescent moon, which gives the blade two pointS to have contact on the glass with is what you are suppose to use. Both BD-1800 (silver blade) and BD-2000 (black blade) are 30 degree blades that made of high quality carbon tool steel. BD-2000 (black blade) has an extra process called ‘Bluing Process’ that gives an oxide coating with blue/black appearance and protects from rusting. With even more steps taken during the finishing process, the cutting edge of BD-2000 (black blade) has even finer sharpness than BD-1800 (silver blade).
