This is the second one I have gotten for my collection and looks and better yet, works great. It is easy to assemble by one person, though I recommend help in turning it over when its time in the instructions. Just wish this color was not always priced a few dollars more then the other color options. Holds many dvds and cds in any combination on its adjustable shelves and fully loaded, the spinners (made of plastic) have so far held out well.

The best piece of advice among the other reviews is to read the directions twice before you start. Also, inventory the parts and wipe everything down with a damp cloth. I'll try not to repeat what others have said - basically, I'm a single woman and I put the thing together in less than two hours. There are some tricky parts - while all the drilled holes seemed to be well placed, putting it together on carpet introduces some variations. And I concur with others - the packing is very good. 1. Yes, it comes with a marker to brown out scratches/nicks - some were already there, some I put in during assembly 2. It's fiberboard but it serves its purpose - it almost looks like real furniture and it stores a heck of a lot of dvds 3. It's a little tricky in that while all the holes are drilled correctly (no small feat apparently, based on other experiences) it is important to get the holes lined up before you commit to tightening too many screws. 4. Sides one and two are easy enough - but I tried to line up the screws with the holes on 3 and 4 before I tightened - they are well drilled but it's still difficult to see 5. It did not self destruct when I accidently knocked the half constructed piece to the ground - so yay! 6. I got ambitious and put in some shelf dowels while it was still upside down since it seemed easier: it was, but first, I miscounted (remember you'll want to use the "floor" so the bottom hole is not the bottom; and also some will likely fall out when you flip it. 7. It's strong. I'm a little skeptical about how long the rotating mechanism will work, but so far it's great - and I've loaded it with all my dvds and basically filled it = and rotated it a lot to try and organize things a little. The "cycle" is a piece of plastic but so far so good. The Directions aren't great but they're not that bad -- note that although it isn't listed, you will need a flat bladed screw driver as well as a hammer and a Phillips head screw driver. Note - I didn't think I had 400 dvds but it is basically full. I do have a lot of sets and some old style sets that take up more room, but I thought I'd have extra space and I don't have much. So in my book, it has delivered what it promised. ETA - almost 3 years later the spinner is working with no problem. So FYI

Rating this 4 stars because after putting it together, it's fairly sturdy and holding up well so far. I had some fitment issues during the assembly process. Some boards were bowed and/or warped and required some force to install. Some pilot holes weren't quite perfectly aligned as a result, but once I got it put together, it's been pretty solid. My main concern for the long term is the base, specifically how it's connected to the rest of the shelf. The base is attached using some kind of special bolt, which doesn't seem especially sturdy on its own and I'm concerned that over time with the weight of a full shelf, that the bolt may begin to bend. The bolt is only supported by a very cheap-feeling plastic ring with wheels built into it meant to help guide and support the shelf as it rotates, but it's extremely thin and flimsy. If you're concerned about having to move this shelf after assembling it, I would recommend being very careful with it, as there is quite a bit of flex on the centre bolt when leaning the tower over. Best bet is probably to remove everything from the tower including the shelves, which are just resting on top of the pegs and are not secured in any other way, and carefully lift it with no less than two people. Just be very careful not to lean the tower on the base. Given the price of this thing and the amount of weight it may be holding, I would've liked to have seen this piece made of metal instead, maybe an interlocking metal guide ring with ball bearings like some kitchen turnstiles have or something like that. I feel like that would've gone a long way to fixing my issues with the durability of the base. As it is, the rotation is a bit rough and the long-term durability is questionable, but it's held up so far after a year or so with no issues. Otherwise, pretty happy with how this is designed. There's a lot of holes for installing the included pegs and shelves at different heights to accommodate different media. I have some shelves for dvds, Blu-rays, and CDs, as well as different sized video game cases from DS and 3DS to Switch, to PlayStation, to Xbox and everything in between. The flexibility is very appreciated, and the depth of the shelves is enough that you can even fit smaller books as well should you wish. I'm recommending this for folks who have a good space for it, as it does unfortunately take up more space that some normal shelves do because of the rotating design needing extra clearance from walls and other objects around it.

This was really easy to put together. It's a very solid holder. I did buy a separate lazy susan, it's rated for 1000 pounds, much more secure than the plastic one the provide. It holds around 680 regular blu ray cases. It spins very easily and takes up very little space. Very happy with this and would highly recommend it. I do suggest getting the metal lazy susan though.

Arrived a week early, was lucky that the two heavy boxes came on the same day. It was good that I decided to replace the plastic turntable rollers with a heavy duty aluminum lazy-susan (16" for stability) that had a capacity of 225 lbs. There was no problem putting DVD tower together once the first two main sections were attached together. True the directions are not real clear - for example; should say attach main piece 'a' to peice 'b' amd make sure the holes for the dowels are all close to the floor and put it together standing up (it does't). The pictures are very good to follow starting with the first two main sections then section 3 and four, I used a electric drill with a #2 philips, less aggravation tring to hold pieces together and using the philips included. The main sections and sided are all held together each by one long screw, so is a good idea not to move the tower before adding the bottom which screws on. - I used a step-ladder with two steps to attach both the bottom and top. Next take hold of the bottom and gently lay it on its side, then walk around to the other end where the top will be attached and lift it until the bottom is on the ground. The capacity is very good : on the average of 18 DVD's per shelf with 7 shelves per side. Did something different for the top:; because the wood grain was above eye level, I turned particle board showing on the bottom over and redrilled the holes in the proper pattern on the wood grain side. I can see wood grain inside of the bottom of the top section now. Note: For those that want to see the wood grain inside the top - here is what I did: on the particale board side took a peice of printer paper and made a indentation of the two screw holes for one corner; then turned over the top section and drilled the holes in all four corners withe same pattern (on wood grain side). Overall very satified with this product : (DVD spinning tower) would recomend
