That is an important detail.** A: I just got mine abs the cord length is fine. Use an extension cord if you don't have many outlets to plug into. GREAT MOP!!!! **Q: Anyone else unable to successfully register this product? The model number isn't an option on the Bissell registration page?** A: I just registered mine. I put 2039 and the product comes up. Once registration is complete it shows in your profile as spinwave 20393 :) **Q: Can I use other cleaning fluids?** A: NO. You can, HOWEVER, keep in mind that their formulas are preferred for a reason. I had a Bissell SpotBot and tried to save money by using both a cheaper solution and a home made solution. Turns out that it voids your Warranty when the machine stops working or begins dumping clean or dirty fluid all over the place. One of the solutions I used caused a rubber seal somewhere in the machine to disintegrate and when I sent the machine in for warranty repair they refused to fix it. Bissell knew right away from the damage that was done to the machine that I used a solution other than Bissell. So, short answer, no. Don't use anything except what is made for your particular machine by Bissell Company unless you want to void your Warranty **Q: How big of an area can be cleaned before you need to switch out the pads?** A: Depends how dirty your floor is.
