Keeping up with healthy eating habits and regular exercise can be challenging to say the least. For me personally, one way to stay motivated on the journey to getting fit and losing weight is to be able to track my daily progress. With this scale, I can weigh myself, plus, I can get readings on my hydration levels, muscle mass, BMI, and body fat percentage and several other metrics. Being able to see these numbers move daily keeps me motivated to eat right and stay active. Also, on the bottom of the scale, there are non-slip pads to keep the scale from sliding on a slick floor. I like that this scale can be setup to track data for multiple users. The standing platform is nice and big, at 14 x 12 inches. Also, you will need to download the FitDays app to integrate with this scale. The scale can be integrated with 4 different apps – Insmart Life, Apple Health, FitBit, and Google Fit. Each one is free to download from the App Store or Google Play, and will track anything you want it to track. The apps will also be on the lookout for trends or patterns. If you are someone who likes to keep close tabs on your progress while working on your health and fitness, this scale is a great tool and motivator. The display is large, colorful, and clear. The INSMART Smart Scale is a sturdy, 1092g unit that feels well-planted on the floor thanks to its stable rubber feet. The black model has a clean, professional look with a glass-style top and four integrated metal sensors. While it handles basic weight up to 400 lbs, it is designed to be a full "body composition" station when paired with the INSMART Life app. ​The Weighing Process The display is vibrant and very easy to read, showing weight down to tenths of a pound. When you step on, the scale "hunts" for a few seconds; this isn't just a lag in the weight sensor, but the scale locking in your mass before it begins the electrical impedance test. You’ll see the display fluctuate or flash for about 3–5 seconds while it calculates the extra stats like heart rate and body fat. ​What It Measures When you stand on it barefoot, the sensors measure roughly 16–18 different metrics. I ordered this to help me stay on track with getting in better shape. I didn't want to know just my weight, although this is an accurate and easy-to-read scale, but also my BMI and body fat measurements. And yes, I realize that there are varying opinions about the use of those figures, but that is what I have to measure my progress with for now, so..... This scale is well-made and appears accurate. I base that on the fact that I weigh myself before going to the doctor's office, and this scale has been consistent in moving along with that "official" figure. The BMI score flows from there, so also accurate. A real bonus is that I don't have to tap the scale to wake it up before walking on -- it gives me instant feedback the moment I put my feet on the surface. The black color bends nicely and doesn't stand out in my closet. I can "hide" it in plain sight. The instruction booklet is extensive and answers all my questions. The app is a nice-to-have, and I have had zero problems syncing up. I don't keep them paired at all times because I tend to compartmentalize. Overall, I am very happy with the scale, and it seems durable enough that I will be using it for the foreseeable future. Happy to recommend!

The first thing I noticed with this scale versus the one it replaced is the form and size factor, which is great for flexibility on where it’s going to be placed, it’s much smaller and lighter. The accuracy of it is outstanding, this is something I’ve tested multiple times when first using it, it will easily pick up the differences in a single ounce or less. The app for it is very straightforward, it covers 24 primary measurables such as weight, BMI, muscle mass, visceral fat, health score, health evaluation, etc., these aspects are hard to tell how truly accurate they would be from a sheer medical perspective, though to me, more importantly they provide trackable measures that over days-weeks-months, you can readily identify changes both positive and negative to your overall health given the app maintains a database of chronological historical readings. I found the value for money to be actually good, compared to other offerings, especially at the current price of $35, it’s higher quality item than I initially expected, the scale it replaced for me was much more expensive and I find the INSMART to be much better and more accurate.

My most favorite feature of this digital bathroom scale is the fact that it turns on as soon as I step on it, and gives me an accurate weight reading within seconds! No more tapping the scale with one foot, or bumping an on-switch, or whatever. It's easier to use than the old-school mechanical spring-loaded bathroom scales that always needed to be zeroed, and it has big bright digits instead of trying to read a dial. This particular scale offers body composition data, but I have zero use for or interest in that feature (or the accompanying app). For one thing, published reviews of the science behind composition analysis via electrical conductivity says "there is evidence that suggests the technology may be inaccurate" -- in my experience, it is definitely not reliable. Also, data collection and interpretation requires installing the accompanying app on my smart phone and providing an email address, neither of which I am willing to do, for the sake of private data security. This scale has a list price about twice what my spouse paid for her new bathroom scale, but I still haven't figured out how to turn her scale on to weigh myself. In my opinion, ease of use of this INSMART scale is well worth the additional $20 -- all I have to do is step on it and hold still for a few seconds then it displays the data in big bright numbers. I like this scale a lot. 5 stars, no question.

I’ve found the accuracy to be spot-on. My wife uses Apple fitness and I have Google health, and it can sync with both. Perfect for the whole family. We’ve set up independent profiles for everyone, and the app manages the data seamlessly.

I am an analog guy that likes to explore the digital world around him from time to time. I still have an old dial scale but wanted to give this a try. I really like the robust set of features on this one and the different metrics that you can track. I've been trying to be healthy but I struggle like the rest of the population. Weight loss and weight maintenance is just one part of it. This helps you see the bigger picture. The scale is working well so far. It was a little bit of a learning curve to set up but it depends on how tech savvy you are. The instructions were very good. There is an app you can partner with this and while I am always skeptical with all the apps from all the devices in my world, many with questionable motives, this one is not very invasive. The results arrive quite quickly considering all the data points it's creating. It should accommodate a wide spectrum of body sizes and body types. With all the different metrics you can track, you can really gamify your wellness journey and make little contests to compete against yourself.
