White Corn Grits / Polenta, 24 Ounce (Pack of 1)

It was nice to change up my breakfast of cold cereal with this. I had it with some butter, brown sugar and sliced strawberries. Yum! Just FYI, if you’re making it for only yourself, half the recipe! I left half a pot to got to waste because it doesn’t reheat very well. Excellent made fresh.

After finding out that Quaker was using GMO produce for its products, I looked to Bob's Red Mill for a non-GMO alternative and found that Bob's makes quick grits too. Some mornings, cooking grits for a 1/2 hour is just too long for some members of my family. (Yes, I do old school grits as well). These are creamy, like old school grits properly cooked, and don't have the somewhat gritty texture of the Quaker Quick Grits. And they DO cook w/in 5 minutes. And taste great. The corn flavor is there w/o being like eating a cob of corn. Definitely a great side with eggs and bacon, or with cheddar cheese and shrimp.

Gotta say these are the bees knees. Much smoother and creamier than Quaker Grits. Enjoyed these very much.

These grits are the best. I do the extra creamy. If there are any left over they are just as good warmed up.

These are definitely not Quaker. I grew up on Quaker than one day I was like there had to be a better grit out there than them. That's when I found Bob Mills and never looked back. They usually sell it locally but it's become harder to find every time. This price on Amazon is quite steep considering i bought some from Walmart in June for $6. I've converted over to Bob mills oatmeal too. I'm glad I made the switch. They are grits so they ate suppose to be gritty but this is a smooth grit, it doesn't leave you wanting to constantly rinse your mouth out.
