FINAL UPDATE: Four years later... may they RIP. They served me well the past 4 years (and 2 months!), but alas, today (5/19/25), when adjusting them on my noggin, the left side snapped with a resounding crack and rendered them useless. I'm not taking any stars away, I honestly didn't think I'd get use out of these for as long as I did, since I use them daily. Too bad they're no longer available, I definitely would have ordered another pair in a heartbeat. 😆 UPDATE REVIEW: The first pair were defective, but customer service was phenomenal and the replacement pair worked like a charm. So much so, that my oldest, after having multiple pairs of headphones die, asked to use these since they're noise cancelling and concentration on online schooling with noisy pet doves in the room was problematic. Apparently the newest pair of headphones (different manufacturer) that I'd purchased for her turned out to *not* be noise cancelling. She loves these headphones, and I got to find out firsthand how terrible the ones I'd gotten her actually were. So I had to come back here and buy another pair of these - they came quickly, and work phenomenally - it was a relief to actually be able to hear what I needed/wanted to listen to (rich, clear sound), while simultaneously cutting out unnecessary noises (barking dog) when I'm trying to focus. I highly recommend these - and the customer service has been outstanding, so I'm of course revising my star status to 5. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Right out of the box they had sporadic crackling in my ear. The only way I can describe it is like electrical static that causes the sound to cut out for a second or two before resuming back to 'normal'. While that in and of itself isn't really a huge issue, it becomes a huge issue when you're supposed to be taking notes while listening to speakers say their piece in a virtual conference call. The cutting out of the sound makes it very hard to follow along and make sure your note-taking is spot on. I followed the sellers recommendation of trying it in other devices besides my laptop, cleaning potential dust off the plug, etc. to no avail. I think it's a manufacturing defect, so I cannot in good conscience recommend these to anyone.

This is the second time I have purchased AILIHEN Wired Headphones (one of Amazon’s Top Choices, by the way) and I am positive that the sound quality has been improved since my last pair, which was at least three years ago. The quality, comfort, and the price cannot be beat, I guarantee. The headphones arrive in a very sturdy cardboard box with easy instructions booklet, in case you need one. And if you want a pair that plays loud and clear (no static sound) these are the ones for you. Rock on!

I bought these for my 8 y/o because hes pretty rough on headphones. I didnt expect any kind of quality because of the price so when I got them I tried them immediatly and to my suprize these things are great for the price they actually have bass. Usually cheap ones are all treble. they feel cheap and feel cheaply made but for the price I'm impressed. Im buying me a pair and now everyone wants a pair.

The product is a fine product, but my ten-year-old’s rough handling ended up breaking a part holding the ear piece to the headset. Not a problem with workmanship, they are just not super tough.

I have bought lot of headsets and ear buds in the low to medium price range. My hearing is not great and with absolutely no exception except for these, I always turn the volume as high as it will go. I hike daily along a busy and very noisy highway and I never have to turn the volume all the way up on these! In fact, I couldn't stand it if I did, not even for a second or two! I don't listen to music, just audio books and lectures. I also use these to talk on the phone. For me, the sound quality is great. I have only used these a few weeks, so I can't say much about durability, but I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt because I like these so much. But I will say that I have never had any headset or earbuds at any price last me a full year. 3 to 6 months is normal. 9 to 10 months is the max. If these last longer I will revise my review.

I work from home as a freelancer, and I live in headphones because it helps me focus. For a long time, I used $11 over-the-ear headphones from the dollar store. They hurt my ears and my head. They didn't block any noise whatsoever. And my cats eventually destroyed them. I ordered these headphones a few weeks ago and they are AWESOME for the price! They are almost completely noise-cancelling (so much so that my husband is getting frustrated with me not hearing him), they don't hurt my head or ears after long wear, and the cats have knocked them all over the place without destroying them (yet). Plus, the cord is wrapped in cloth, so the cats don't even try to chew on it (thank gawd). I definitely recommend these for someone like me who can't afford the name-brand, top-of-the-line guys, but need a sturdy, dependable, and cheap set. I'm very impressed.

I am changing my review to 1 star. I had the first pair of headphones over a year. The stopped working correctly so I ordered a new pair last June. They didn't last 2 months. I tried emailing them asking for an exchange and never heard back from them. Better then the Sony headphones for sound quality. First pair lasted just over a year before one side started losing volume. Daily use

Bought these for my son, hes has tons of bluetooth, but has always gone back to the plugged in type, he loved these, the only downfall fir me is he cant hear me ask him anything, even when i yell, we have to use hand signals for him to notice us, or yell loudly! So great noice cancellation. I was a little bit worried since he is only 8 that he would snap them in half like some of the reviews said but I told him that they could break so he's been careful with them so it's not been an issue.
