I have a very limited space on a 3rd floor apartment in an ancient house - so summers get hot. Unfortunately, there's really only one space for my dog's bed to go, and for the past few summers she's had to compete with the AC hanging loudly over her bed. Not so with the Windmill. It sits much shallower in the window, though the extra screw points leave it more secure than my past unit. It's sleek (which I like) and quiet (which she likes) and voila - I don't have a hot dog in my bed, she doesn't have a loud AC in hers, and everyone in the house is much happier. Even before the app, it's a superior option to standard units (and for folks who are app averse, you honestly don't even need it). Once you factor in the technology and sleek design, it fits in really nicely to the space (and yes, it does the job too - nice and cool). Life saver for me!

From the moment I unboxed the Windmill AC, I knew I was in for a treat. The sleek unit blended into my living space as if tailor-made for it. Setting it up was a breeze—I had it purring quietly in the corner of my room without a hitch. It's the little things that make a difference; the gentle hum that fades into the background, allowing me to focus on my work or drift off into a peaceful sleep. And with the intuitive app, it feels like I have the weather at my fingertips, adjusting the climate of my room from the cozy confines of my couch or even when I'm away. But it's not just about comfort—the Windmill AC speaks to my environmental conscience. Knowing that my choice helps in reducing my ecological footprint adds a layer of satisfaction beyond the immediate cooling relief. Every time I power it on, there's a reassuring thought that this small luxury aligns with my larger values. The Windmill AC isn't just an appliance; it's a part of my home experience, seamlessly integrating convenience, care for the planet, and personal comfort.

Finally, Windmill has provided me an A/C unit that feels like it was made for this century. For too long we've dealt with old units that are too loud, too manual and straight up ineffective. The windmill solves all three problems! First, this is by far the quietest Air conditioner I've ever had! Gone are the days I need to watch TV with subtitles because I can't hear over the thunder that is my A/C unit. Not sure what whispertech actually is, but it delivers on the promise. Next, it's great to have a window unit A/C system I can control through my phone. I can easily change the temperature in my kid's room without going in and waking them up. The app is easy to use and just requires a few clicks! Finally the windmill is effective. Without cranking up our energy bill, we are constantly cool even in hot summer months. Definitely will continue to buy the windmill for future A/C needs!

Cool stuff (pun intended) doesn't have to cost a fortune and can also be a great product. Windmill's AC is one such example: Subtle, modern design; great (quiet) performance; thoughtful, intuitive, installation provisions and instructions. Kudos to the young hipsters in Brooklyn from an older - yet much cooler (pun doubly intended) - guy in Manhattan.

I purchased this unit in 2023 and loved it. It cools my bedroom well and I enjoyed using the app, it looks great and is easy to install. Fast forward 2 years later I start experiencing technical bugs - disconnected from the app, random beeping, modes/temperatures changing on their own. I contacted Windmill support and they recommended a hard reset. After conducting this reset, I haven't been able to get the unit to cool for even 30 seconds before it starts malfunctioning. Windmill support said that the unit's control board malfunctioned, but since I am 1 year past the warranty, they would not provide me with a replacement despite this being a product defect. Don't waste your money. Having to now replace a $350 machine after just 2 years is a huge letdown, and I will be buying a cheap little frigidaire that will likely last 5+ years at a fraction of the price.
