Significant concerned about rebuilding our stairs until I found and tried this tool. Without it I don’t how you could get the fit I achieved every time with this tool. The tool made the job easier, saved time and money, and produced a quality product at the end

This tool is excellent for what it is made for. It would be impossible to rebuild stairs and do a professional job without it or something of this kind. I tried a different tool and it was pure junk.

Don’t try stairs without it. Made the job fast and accurate.

This device does a great job of outlining a space where you need to install a stair tread or other similarly sized piece of wood. I wound up trimming the moving parts a bit as they sometimes bottomed-out before I could extend them to the sides. A bit costly, I think, but I'm glad I have it. It will be useful anytime I need to cut something 3 to 4 feet in length that is almost a perfect rectangle, but not quite.

Works great and very easy to use. My steps turned out almost perfect. A little overpriced for what it is, but it does work great.

The concept of this item is great but unfortunate their quality control is lacking. You are supposed to extend the wings until they are flush with the wall and then tighten the wingnuts to hold them in place. Two of the four wingnuts will not tighten due to damaged threads. I could fix it easily by purchasing a replacement wingnut of the correct size but after spending over $100 for some plastic and 4 bolts and wingnuts I expect everything to work.
