There is no information on the warranty for replacement parts. I'd call Dyson directly. You cannot find any info on warranty terms for replacement parts **Q: will this replacement motor work in a DC40?** A: I don't know for sure but probably not. I found a picture of a replacement Panasonic (not YDK) motor for the DC40 at https://www.partswarehouse.com/Dyson-DC40-Multi-floor-Upright-s/5912.htm and it does not look to be the same. **Q: Is this work for dc29?** A: This works fine, easy to replace. Out with the old in with the new motor in twenty minutes.
