This is one of South Asian’s diet and they say it as Sticky Rice. It comes in three different color – White, Black & Brown. White is the best with full of aroma commonly used by Japanese. We get only the black in India, and I tried many sources. This one is really good. Please note, we should know how to cook and make the best use of it. It's full of energy and fiber good for very one. We soak in water over night, next day cook directly after soaking with water / adding little salt in cooker to 10 minutes. Also to add black eye beans (need to soak overnight separately) one third quantity after cooking separately for one whistle. Mix together and add sugar or Jaggery powder, and grated coconut that makes ready to serve. We can also make tasty ‘Payasam‘ the sweet desert by adding some milk /coconut milk with little cardamom.
