I LOVE this deck! Of the many learning decks in my collection, I find this one to be hands-down the very best. The cards' face is comprehensive, containing detailed correspondences that enables readers to learn more at-a-glance and to delve deeper. In addition to the variety of one word meanings, the "short meaning" statements and the affirmations are so helpful. And, the important category references (love , career, finance) are a real plus! The deck is slightly longer, narrower, and thicker than the standard US Games Systems RWS deck. It fits comfortably in my hand and is easy for me to side-shuffle. The cards shuffle like silk. The cardstock texture is matte and low-gloss with nice flexibility and spring-back (although I avoid bending/bridging all decks). The chunky accompanying guidebook is very well thought-out, as it goes far deeper in specificity than most. The info on all cards is expanded upon and includes the meanings of colors and symbolism. The guidebook is printed in full color. This is a high quality, comprehensive learning deck and is well worth the purchase. Whether one is a tarot newbie or an experienced reader, you cannot go wrong with this gem of a tarot deck.

purchased twice! one for myself, and one for a friend after seeing how complete the set is. i compared many beginner decks and found this one to be the most detailed with the smaller symbols on the cards, as well as multiple aspects of card reading. I did pair the deck with a Llewellyn beginner tarot reading book and has proved helpful as additional material. The book this deck comes with does not describe reversal meanings although they are briefly on the cards themselves. The book that comes with the deck is color coded and easy to read. Wonderful starter deck.

I've bought, and given away, several of this type of learning deck with keywords and other info on the card. This is by far the best of the bunch and is a keeper. In fact I own most Wyspell decks, because they're great quality with great images and good guidebooks. Although I'm an experienced Tarot reader, I never really added astrology to my repertoire, and find it easier learning the astrological associations by using the cards themselves rather than trying to memorize from a book. The cards give a lot of other useful info as well, including time frame, element, affirmation, etc. The card stock is very good and the printing is well done. The box is sturdy. I'm not a snake fan so the card back is not my favorite image, but it's well done. The book is also excellent. I take issue with some of the symbolism descriptions, but I appreciate that the symbols are sometimes described slightly differently depending on the context of the specific card. All told, a very good learning deck. If you're in the market for this type of deck, this is the one to get.

High quality cards with an insightful and accurate booklet. Easy to follow and organized nicely. Good cards that hold up to shuffling with quality art.

I purchased this deck by Wyspell to replace one that was missing a card. I initially planned to reorder from the same manufacturer, but that version was about $10 more, so I decided to give this one a try. The cards are a decent weight, though they lack the smooth, satin finish of my original EA Games Rider-Waite deck—which, for reference, has lasted nearly 20 years and still feels silky. Because of that difference, I suspect this deck will show wear faster with regular use. When comparing the decks side by side, the color differences are noticeable. In my original EA Games deck, The Hanged Man and Page of Cups both have the same grayish background. However, in this Wyspell version, The Hanged Man has a brownish background, while The Page of Cups is still grayish, like it's supposed to be. I haven’t checked every card yet, but this stood out immediately since The Hanged Man definitely shouldn’t have a brown background. If you already know the Rider-Waite symbolism and don’t rely on color cues for interpretation, this deck is a solid and affordable choice. However, if you’re a beginner learning through the traditional imagery—or if you’re a frequent reader who handles cards often—this version might not hold up as well over time compared to higher-quality decks. Pros: •Vibrant, eye-catching colors •Affordable price compared to other versions •Decent card weight •Suitable for experienced readers familiar with Rider-Waite symbolism Cons: •Lacks satin finish; will wear quickly •Some color inconsistencies (e.g., The Hanged Man background) •Not ideal for beginners (I am a professional reader, doing daily readings and events 2x/month or more)

I’m in awe of these cards. They shuffle well. Very informative and educational. Great for deep learning. I would recommend these to anyone.

Card deck with lots of information on each card, that will be helpful in reading a spread. The only thing I don't like is the brown pages with black print in the book, very hard to read. Only in the first section, the rest has dark pages but with white lettering. Matt finish, nice to shuffle. Nice sized cards, fit into hand. Seems to be a nice sturdy card too.

Cards are crisp. Wish it came in a nicer box but cards themselves are great. Many of the Minor arcana cards don’t have their names on the cards, which is fine, will just require more memorization of the cards. Guidebook is helpful for beginners but do your own exploration into meanings as well!
