Will & Grace (The Revival): Season One [DVD]

The long awaited and funnier than ever return of Will and Grace, this is the only show that i know of that can be off the air for 10 years and come back and not miss a beat.The gang got back together on Youtube to do a show and it was huge , so they did another one and it did even more bigger numbers and the rest is history and back to NBC for season 9 and the revival. Season 9 doesn't disappoint at all 16 episodes of love, laughter ,and hijinks that one Will and Grace are known for with old friends and new guest-stars," the sitcom" has made a come back on television again and thank God for it.

I was a bit hesitant to watch this reboot. After falling in love with the original series, I was afraid they would botch it up. I was truly impressed with the writers and the performances to find that it felt like home again. I do however, feel they went a little over board on the "political" subject matter but I fully understand why they did. Its part of every day life and these characters are playing ever day people but it got a bit old and boring. Hopefully they will drop the political propaganda and bring back the fun mindless humor from the previous version..........

The best thing about the Will & Grace Revival is how relevant it is! The comedy is spot-on and hilarious for anyone looking to just relax and enjoy the night with a high-quality comedy. It's also great for all generations. I'm a Millennial and remember watching Will & Grace in High School and I loved it. Now that it's back, it's even better than before with revamped comedy, all-star guest appearances, and a plethora of scenes in each episode. It keeps me entertained every time I watch it.

I absolutely love the revival! So glad it's back, it's definitely different from the original series. And I'm not talking about the politics, because if you actually payed attention during the original run you would know the show has always been political in some way. The first season has a Halloween themed episode in it where a kid is dressed as Nixon and Grace says "My Dad voted for you" then says "Will what are we going to do? I'm allergic to Bee's and I'm a Democrat" They made fun of other Presidents, the first ladies. They had an episode where they voted for candidates in their local election. They had an episode where Karen outs Beverly Leslie by announcing it to the whole city saying "Attention Republicans, Beverly Leslie is a homosexual, I repeat Beverly Leslie is a homosexual". I could go on, but there's too many to list. What is different for me is it not quite feeling like the original series, even though I love it it seems to be missing something at the moment. Being sick of politics is fine, but being tired of politics because you don't like that they make fun of the President you support is ridiculous. It's comedy, lighten up and laugh. Being a liberal, I watched Last Man Standing it's entire run and laughed a lot, and it had jokes about liberals and Obama in practically every episode.

Very happy that the show is back in this revival season. The show started out with their first episode somewhat political, which I know many people are sick of politics, but this is really where they drew the line with direct politics. All the rest of the episodes (16 all together) focus on the relationships of the foursome and some past guests they have had on the show in their earlier run. And yes, they will occasionally throw up a one liner about something political in some of the other episodes, but they always made references like this in their original eight seasons. Still hilarious comedy to forget your troubles and just hang out with Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. They still make me laugh out loud....especially Karen Walker (played by Megan Mullally (she cracks me up!!!) Some of the funnier episodes I recommend viewing "Who's Your Daddy?", "Grandpa Jack", "The Wedding", "Three Wise Men", "A Gay Olde Christmas" and "Rosario's Quinceanera". Enjoy the laughter!!!

So glad this show is back. I loved it a decade ago and I love it now. The cast has not missed a single beat. Laugh out loud funny! Yes it has a lot of political jabs - on both sides - but mostly on one side (much to my delight). I hope they get another season. If you are a die hard Republican - you will hate this show.

This is put together nicely. If you're a fan of Will & Grace, this is a nice addition to the previous seasons. My only complaint would be that the episodes aren't as good as before. Simply put, some are, some aren't. The saga continues...

As funny as the previews ones. The DVD is not compatible with European DVD system and the Spanish audio track is Latino, not Spanish from Spain. Nevertheless, the serie deserves it.

What a wonderful show! I wish the earlier 8 seasons of Will & Grace would be released on blu-ray as well! My DVDs are starting to wear out from all my reruns! And thanks Newton_Ca for your great overseas delivery of my order! You're the best!
