Bora brand vs Shield Technology brand, which is the real stuff?

Shield Technology has always produced this product. Bora bought it from them. Bora "STN-HRG250" = Shield Technology Honerite Gold 250ml. Affinity Tools owns the Bora brand. They stopped selling Honerite Gold and all other Shield Technology products a few years ago. Advanced Machinery has since imported and offered Honerite Gold. Amazon refuses to change the image.

What is the Active ingredient?

Synthetic combustible petroleum product diluted so as to be able to flow on diamond plated metal slab and inhibit rusting and reduce swarf buildup during lapping.

Can Honeright be used on stones that are used for sharpening kitchen knives?

It’s an additive you put into water. It’s to keep diamond stones feom rusting and as far as I know high carbon steel blades from rusting. Aside from that though it acts like water because the majority of the mix ends up being water.

Is this the same product as HoneRite Gold in the white bottle with gold writing?
