NO BOX, JUST THE VHS TAPE. Tape is in excellent condition. Review: Too good not to be on DVD! - I love these cartoons! I remember them from my childhood. My children also viewed them when they were children. Now that I'm going to be a granny, I am so disappointed that these wonderful cartoons are not available in DVD. As our VHS player died a long time ago, I am saving my VHS copy in hopes that someday I can once again view them. These are classics and I wish Disney would consider redistributing them to a new generation. Review: Best WCW Pay Per view Maybe Ever! - Alright I just want to Know how the wcw can go from such a Great company to the worst wrestling orginization ever in two months. I mean this pay per was amazing with great wrestling from the beggining to the very end. Disco Inferno vs. Lash Laru Good cruiserweight fighting it really kicked off the show on a good note. Harlem Heat vs. Filthy animals vs. Hugh morris and Brian Nobbs For Tag team championship- This match was good, it was actually pretty funny they used mummies and water bottles and we see Harlem Heat win their 10th tag team championship. Television Championship Match was great bith men really wanted the win and surprising ending. Sting vs. Hulk Hogan- I don't know what the hell happend here....If someone could clue me in Please do so. Flair vs. DDP was great flair was bloody and a brutal match. Sid vs. Goldberg-The best match of the night by far the blood was pooring from sid probably the most blood I have ever seen in wcw and this match ends with Goldberg winning the United states Title. Sting (champion) vs. Goldberg- Now Goldberg walks out with the world heavyweight championship in this 3 minute match but the title wasnt really on the line though I don't think because at the next pay per view Bret Hart wins the world title in a turnament if someone could clue me on this too please do but I guess Goldberg IS THE HEAVYWEIGHT Champion!

need a lil excitement? snap into it!
THE BEST OF WCW'S HALLOWEEN HAVOC (1998) approx. 55 minutes This is a decent compilation of one of my favorite annual pay-per-views, Halloween Havoc. This was supposed to be the "spooky" themed PPV and this made many of the matches more gimmicky and bizarre. The wrestling audience nowadays is "too smart" to have a sustained interest in this type of PPV, but I still miss the event. Anyhow, the tape features matches from 1989 all the way up to 1997. You will recognize many faces, including WCW mainstay Sting, Ric Flair, Mick Foley and Hogan in both incarnations. You will recognize many voices too, including Jim Ross, Mike Tenay, Jesse Ventura, Bobby Heenan, Dusty Rhodes and intros from Michael Buffer (you know... "Let's get ready to rumble!!!!" guy). But what's great about this tape is the people you may have forgot. Hardcore legends Terry Funk and Abdullah the Butcher, Japanese star Great Muta, and monster heel Vader all make appearances. You can also see Scott Hall as "the Diamond Studd" and Macho Man in his "Slim Jim" duds. Mean Gene Okerlund sort of hosts the tape, meaning he appears three times explaining first that the tape is beginning, next that the section on Hogan is beginning and finally that the tape is over. One of the best characteristics of Halloween Havoc was that there was almost always an off-the-wall type of match each year. For example, in the "Chamber of Horrors" match, the object is to put a member of the opposing team into an electric chair. Many of the matches on this tape are cage matches. Don't forget about Jake and Sting's "coalminer's glove match", which was selected by spinning a "price is right"-type wheel. And then there's the interferences, including a mysterious masked man hitting Sting and Jimmy Hart with a club in one match and then Sting switching places with another Sting early on (?!). I'll devote a whole paragraph to the weirdest clip on the tape: Another match which isn't as successful was the "Monster Truck Sumo" match which featured Hogan and the Giant running the big trucks into each other, only to have Hogan accidentally throw Giant off a building. In the storyline, Giant was angry at Hogan for defeating "his father" (a reference to Andre the Giant, who wasn't related to his in real life). The two later meet for a very weird match where Hogan is wearing black tights with lightning bolts about 9 months before his heel turn at Bash at the Beach '96! He is also donning "Taskmaster"-style facepaint, explained by the announcers as "the dark side of Hogan". The match ends with several people running in, including one of the silliest characters in wrestling history "the Yeti". He was a very tall mummy who wrapped his arms around his opponent as he twitched! To quote Mike Tenay, "What in the Hell is going on?" As with all of the WCW tapes from this time period, the matches are edited down. While many of the memorable moments are intact (such as Randy Savage's flying elbow from the top of the cage), we miss out on some of the theatrics that were a big part of Halloween Havoc. For example there was a strange segment where druids or something came in during the 1991 PPV that is missing here. There are enough good moments to keep your interest, but if you remember the matches when they aired, you may be disappointed in the chopping. Halloween Havoc '89 Cage Match The Great Muta and Terry Funk vs. Sting and Ric Flair Halloween Havoc '90 Tag Team Title Match Nasty Boys vs. Steiner Brothers Halloween Havoc '90 Heavyweight Title Match Sid Vicious vs. Sting (interference from another Sting) Halloween Havoc '91 "Chamber of Horrors" Vader, Abdullah the Butcher, Cactus Jack and Diamond Studd (Scott Hall) vs. Sting, El Gigante and the Steiner Brothers Halloween Havoc '92 "Coal Miner's Glove Match" Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Sting (interference from Cactus Jack) Halloween Havoc '93 Heavyweight Title Match Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Ric Flair Halloween Havoc '94 Heavyweight Title Match Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan special referee: Mr.T interference from Sherri and "the Masked Man" Halloween Havoc '95 Monster Truck Match Giant vs. Hulk Hogan interference from Lex Luger, Randy Savage, Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart and "the Yeti" Halloween Havoc '96 Heavyweight Title Match Hollywood Hogan vs. Macho Man Randy Savage interference from The Giant Halloween Havoc '97 Cage Match Hollywood Hogan vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper interference by Randy Savage There are some things missing from this tape, namely the great Havoc promos. The most infamous are probably the skits done for Sting vs. Jake the Snake which showed a bewildered Sting wandering through Jake's criminal underworld. Also, the packaging of the tape shows the WCW character Mortis who does not make any appearances on the tape! It would be great if WWE did a newer Halloween Havoc package, but I'm not holding my breath.

Should have been better. I was dissappointed.
I did not expect this tape to be like this. I expected better. But I guess thats what happens when you buy a WCW Tape from the Vince Russo "era." If I could even call that run an era. Well anyways lets gets started shall we? All of the matches here are REALLY short. Here are the matches: 1) Disco Inferno vs. Lash LeRoux Honestly this match is no big deal. It is an average opener and what could you expect? Lash LeRoux is new and Disco carries the match. I give this match 1 and out of 5 stars. 2) Harleam Heat vs. Filthy Animals vs. The First Family. This match starts off pretty good and ends really chessy. In my opinion the ending ruined the match. This match gets 1 and 1/2 out of 5 stars. 3) Saturn vs. The Late Eddy Guerrero This match is pretty good Eddy and Saturn go back and forth until Flair comes out and hits Guerrero! He knocks out Guerrero and the match ends in a DQ. It is still a pretty good match. I give it 3 1/2 stars. 4) Brad Armstrong vs Berlyn Why do I have to rate this match? It sucks! I have no idea why it was even on this tape! The match only last 4 minutes and 24 seconds! This match gets a 0 out of 5 stars! 5) Rick Stenier vs. Chris Beniot Honestly I am a huge Chris Beniot fan. I think this match could have been better but in my opinion I think Rick ruined it. The matches before this match were not impressive and I thought this match would wake me up. The only thing that was "ok" was the ending. Dean Malenko comes in and hits Beniot over the head with a chair. I even think the chair shot was disappointing! Malenko put no force behind the chair shot. This match gets 2 and 1/2 stars out of 5. 6) Lex Luger vs. Bret Hitman Hart I am a huge Bret Hart fan and I have a question. Why did Luger win this match? This match is alright...its nothing great but you cant blame Luger or Hart for that cause it was probably not there fault. Luger wins...and the match is only about seven minutes long. I give this match 3/5 stars. 7) Sting vs Hogan What the hell?! This is NOT even a match! Sting pins Hogan after Hogan just lays down for him. Why didnt they even Wrestle?! It is kind of interesting to see this but it still sucks! I want a wrestling match! This gets like -1/5 stars! They didnt do anything! 8) Goldberg vs Sid Vicious This match is horrible. The only cool thing in this match is that The Outsiders beat the hell out of Goldberg as he was making himself to the ring. Other than that this is supposed to be a "Blood match." It is one of the worst Blood Matches I have ever seen! I do not even consider it a Blood Match because Sid got his butt kicked for most of the match! BUT it is a horrible match. Goldberg in my opinion was never impressive as a wrestler. You could clearly see at one point in the match that Goldberg was supposed to be "punching" Sid in the face. I know that wrestling is staged but you are supposed to make it look real. This match sucks and it gets 1/5 stars. 9) Diamond Dallas Page vs Ric Flair Finally! A pretty good match! Honestly anytime Flair is in the ring with anyone it is an awesome match! I dont care what anyone says! And DDP is a pretty good darn wrestler himself. With this said this is the BEST match of the night. They both stole the card. The match was back and forth and they both put a good effort. By the way is it also a Strap Match! Surprisingly DDP beats Flair! This match gets 4/5 stars. 10) Sting vs. Goldberg This match is a result of Sting saying that he did not come to Halloween Havoc for a night off. He challenges anyone in the back to a challenge and Goldberg comes out. This match is really short. It only last about 3 minutes! That is disappointing! What was Russo thinking? This match gets 1/5 stars. If it would have been a better match if Goldberg and Russo actually let Sting wrestle. Overall Review: If you a HUGE WCW Fan than you might like this Tape. Otherwise buy Halloween Havoc 1998. It is a heck of alot better! That tape rocks and ONLY has ONE crappy match! I really recommend trying to borrow this tape first to see if you like it. If you are a Huge Ric Flair or Eddy Guerrero fan then you will like this tape. Otherwise take my advice and invest your money on Halloween Havoc 1998. You will not be disappointed!

Unfortunately not viewable
Ordered this and wasn't able the watch it from the first time I popped it into the VCR. Tracking adjustment did not help. The sound and images are incredibly distorted. The description of the video indicated that the tape was in very good condition, but that is unfortunately not the case.
