Does one really need all these tips? What would you recommend for an intermediate baker?

Check Wilton's site for tutorials that may help you decide what you want. If you want to do more than an ordinary cake then the answer to making some special cakes is the variety of tips available. This is a great kit!! You might also want to check cake decorating tutorials on You Tube.

Is there a tip included in this set that is large enough to do choux pastry?

Any of the larger size tips should be able to make that type of dessert

Should I buy the 46-Piece deluxe decorating set or the Wilton Decorating Basics Student Kit? I'm a beginner and not taking the classes.

I would start with the basic set if you are a beginner. If you find that you really enjoy decorating cakes and cookies, then you can buy the Deluxe set. Don't worry about having extra tips (by having both the Student Kit and the Deluxe set), because if you really get into it, you will find that having the extra tips is quite helpful.

I bought this to bake my sons birthday cake. when i was ready to decorate i realized i couldn’t assemble the pieces together! there’s no ring!?

This set contains Wilton’s quick twist coupler. It does not look like a normal screw and ring coupler. There are 3 pieces (4 if you count the cover) and they all look fairly conical. Two pieces screw together around the bag opening and then there is the “ring” that holds the tip in place. The “ring” piece is not threaded in the usual sense.

Ein wichtiges Zubehör fehlt leider

Das Produkt sieht sehr wertig aus und das ist es auch. Ich habe mich genau dafür entschieden weil alles wunderbar übersichtlich und aufgeräumt ist in der Box. Dir Tülle sind sehr vielfältig und für den Anfang absolut ausreichend. Leider ist mir zu spät aufgefallen, das es für die großen Tüllen kein Adapter dabei ist. Der gehört nach meiner Meinung da hinein. Sonst braucht man doch die großen Tülle nicht hineintun. Das ärgert mich extrem, da ich kurzfristig keinen Adapter bekomme und mich nun trotz teurer Box nach einer Alternative umschauen muss um mit einer großen Tülle dekorieren zu können. Deswegen auch nur 3 Sterne in der Bewertung

Excellent quality

I recently began learning to bake but had no supplies. I’d heard of this brand so I bought it just trusting the name. It’s easy and so much fun to use. There are many different decorating tips. I’m still learning to use it all. Clean up is simple. I soak the pieces in soap and warm water. Then rinse and dry. The quality is excellent! I’m looking forward to using these again.
