looks good, works great, well designed and even has a magnetic backing so you can stick it somewhere handy like a range hood or refrigerator door. The first thing I did to prove accuracy was to boil some water in a pan on the stove and test it. It registered 211.8. I believe the difference between that number and the boiling point of 212 degrees is due to the elevation here which is low, so it seems very accurate. The display is large and bright, so very easy to read. Results were instant. A great value at a low price, and I highly recommend it.

I love that this digital thermometer has a magnet on the back. I place it on my refrigerator side which is very convenient. It is easy to read, little weight, perfect griping size. Easy to clean, all you have to do is close and it automatically turn itself off. It is well made. With the long probe it is very accuracy, easy to use. I use it often in cooking. It takes the guesswork out of is it done . I used it the see how hot my water was for the yeast to activate. It was perfect. I personally would not immerse it in water to wash. I am not sure it is water proof. I do immerse the probe in hot soapy water and wash it thoroughly. I have not had the thermometer long enough to tell you about the life of the battery life. I would recommend to my friends and family.

The instructions were in extremely fine print. Even with a magnifying glass, the instructions were difficult to read. Once you get past these problems, the thermometer works.

I have reviewed a lot of products on Amazon, but until now I have never been so pleased with a product that I wanted to go online immediately and post a review. This food thermometer is perfect! I've bought, (and many times thrown away), probably a dozen thermometers. This one is the best! It turns on and off automatically. It's large enough that it's easy to handle. It has a large, easy to read, display. It's instant and it's accurate. It's even easy to find in my utensil drawer. This is perfect. You don't need to look any further.

Really does give a reading almost instantly. Very easy to read. Magnetic so it conveniently can be stowed on the fridge so I do not have to rummage thru drawers trying to find it when needed. Auto turn on when probe is extended helps the busy cook, as is auto turn on and off with probe extended. Set it down and it turns off automatically. Move it and it turns back on. Choice of Fahrenheit or centigrade reading. Button activation will hold reading when probe is removed from food. This is a very well designed product.
