They are priced to be one insane steal. They are tough, rigid, and light weight! I have a 25# recurve and a 65# recurve. These work great for both of them. I have been shooting these arrows every day for the last 3 weeks and the only wear and tear on them is the black coating on the field tips. The shafts and the fletchings have remained virtually unworn. I recommend getting a whisker biscuit on your bow to reduce wear on the fletchings. I have hit arrows in the target with other arrows and they just glance off and leave no marks. The bad part: the reviews that state the nocks and tips do not stay in the arrows. THIS IS NORMAL!!! That's right, the only bad part about these arrows are the bad reviews people are leaving because they have no idea what they are doing. The nocks are push nocks. They don't fit the best so they may have a tendency to fall out or remain on the string when shot. This is easily fixed by buying new nocks that are sized to fit the diameter of the arrow shaft. OR, you can do what I did and hot glue them in. To remove them you simply heat the end of the arrow the nock is in and pull it out. The tips come out so that you can cut the arrows to the size that you need. When you get them to the size that you need you glue the tip holders in with glue. There is glue specially made to glue tip holders in. Just like the nocks, I used hot glue. Removal is the same as the nocks. These are the absolute best practice arrows for the price! These are 30" and 500 spine. They SHOULD be fine for 35-50lb recurve bows. I shoot a #40 recurve with no problem. They are only good for up to 40lbs on a compound bow though. A compound bow 40 - 55lbs needs a 400 spine, 55-70 needs 350 spine, etc. **Q: How much does the tip weigh?** A: Measuring 3 field tips on a postal scale, it is 6 grams each which converted to grains is approximately 92.6 grains. **Q: I just bout a brand new hunting compound bow can I shoot these straight out or the package?** A: Compound bows usually need shorter length shafts for better performance (around 28 inch but depends on your draw length) although these will still work fine. These are also probably a bit light spined for a compound bow. Compounds have much higher draw weight then recurve and need stiffer arrow shafts because of that. **Q: Are these ok for hunting? The included arrows have 300 spine and plastic feather fletching, which is apparently too rigid for a 25lbs bow. While 500 spine is still too rigid, it has a heavier weight and is strong enough to counteract fletching contact. I've been to archery for only a month but I can already achieve pretty tight groupings with these arrows!
