Delicious (even without milk)! Although Dutched...
This is delicious (sugar free) dark chocolate. With other brands I tried previously I had to add milk just for that creamy, comforting, taste - but this one doesn't even need milk! Which is great as the fantastic nutrients in dark chocolate are said to be much more accessible to the body without milk clogging things up.This is decent quality at an affordable price. Tried a non-supermarket brand costing nearly double the price of this and it tasted bland. However, I just found out that this product is Dutch Processed. This means that although it tastes less bitter than unprocessed cocoa, about 60% of natural anti-oxidant qualities may be diminished by this type of processing! Hmm... I guess my search for quality drinking 100% chocolate continues...

The best cocoa powder for baking and great for hot chocolate.
I’ve tried dozens of cocoa powders over the years for baking cakes and I keep coming back to this one. It’s dark and rich and is great if you want that real chocolate hit!I believe this is what is sometimes referred to as ‘dutch processed’ to neutralise the cocoa’s natural acidity to give a milder, earthier flavour (note the potassium carbonate in the ingredients). You can use it straight as many recipes call for, but if you want to really enhance the flavour to give that real chocolate taste it’s worth ‘blooming’ the cocoa powder first. This is where the required quantity of cocoa powder is mixed with hot liquid from the recipe. So if a brownie recipe calls for melted butter, just heat the butter and stir in the cocoa powder. For muffins or cakes that include milk, heat the milk (but not boil) and add the cocoa powder. Remember not to add it to egg mixture while still hot.It also makes for a rich drinking chocolate. Mix cocoa powder with a little cold milk first before then topping up with hot milk.Overall this is my go to coca powder and at the time of writing is cheaper and easier to get from Amazon than my local supermarket. It comes in a cardboard container (as pictured) with a foil, pull tab seal under a re-useable plastic lid, and seems to keep well if kept in a cool dry place.

Anything by Cadbury is yummy…
A generous container of cocoa powder that is so chocolatey. The price is reasonable for the size. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again. A personal recommendation from me to you❣️

Love real Cadbury
Typical good Cadbury, no mistaking it for Hershey’s.

Go with Europe or UK or Canada for your chocolate
I trust Europe and England to use real chocolate or cocoa. American products add a lot more additives and sometimes not even any cocoa is used or chocolate, for that matter. Hershey's is not even allowed to use the word chocolate in their 'chocolate' in most European countries. I grew up with Bournville drinking chocolate. It wont really mix with cold milk. You do need to stir well for hot milk.
