We really like it, creative and simple.
We went to play this on a game day and ended up playing it all day. It is fun and can span a large age group. It makes you think outside the box and brings multiple perspectives into play. The words presented can often be used as verbs or nouns allowing for multiple interpretations. We also like that it is the group trying to achieve a goal together rather than pitting individuals against one another. It is creative yet simple.

Highly recommend
Great game! I bought this for a casual dinner/birthday party of about 15 people where some of the guests didnโt know each other, but they all got to know each other (and said how much fun they had) after we busted out this game. It seemed like the hinters were always trying hard to give good clues to the guesser, and weโd yell โyay!!!โ when they got it, which was about 90% of the time. Definitely easy to get the hang of, fun for different ages (all adults 40-75) and walks of life. A couple folks who had grown up in other countries had a slightly harder time with it bc some word associations are cultural, so maybe not the best game for a gathering of the UN or whatever, but otherwise it is fantastic.

The best easy to learn party game!
THE BEST party game for taking to a gather where everyone may not love board games. Super easy to learn, takes maybe 3 minutes, and everyone gets to work together. Iโve brought this game to many different events and almost always someone ends up purchasing it after due to the same reasons Iโve stated above. You really canโt go wrong here.

A fun game for any size group
This is a game that any size group can play. It encourages cooperation and in larger groups competition. It helps to explore the English language as group members give clues to the hidden word often revealing many meanings for the single word. Lots of fun would highly recommend it.

Fun party game
I was introduced to this game at a 4th of July party, so I got it for family Thanksgiving and it was a hit. It is fun, easy to introduce, and can get hilarious. The game I tried on the 4th had white trays and colored dry erase markers, but this game came with colored trays, black dry-erase pencils and small erasing cloths. You'll need your own pencil sharpener, and you will need to find a cleaner that will remove the waxy black residue that lingers after multiple uses (I have not tried anything yet). The black pencil can be low contrast on the darker tray colors. You might want to use your own black dry erase markers.

A new group favorite!
We purchased this game before the holidays and it has quickly become one of our favorite party games! It has a similar vibe to Blank Slate, which we also own, but I much prefer this one. Rather than trying to match one other person, and only one other person, you want your answer to be unique. However, you also don't want it so unique as to throw off the person guessing the answer. This leads to a lot of "ah ha!" moments when everyone has creative clues, as well as "oh man!" when two or more clues match up and are eliminated and the guesser is left trying to get "Sunrise" when their only clue is "Rooster". The Good: The component quality of this game is fine. The cards are pretty standard for this type of game - not super heavy duty, but not really necessary for a game where you pull from a box. Each player (up to the included number) get their own dry erase easel and marker. Each marker is a different color & has an attached eraser which is pretty cool. Everything fits easily back in the box with very little wasted space. The game takes no time to setup, is super easy to teach, and is always a good time. The Bad: Some people have had issues with a marker or two being dead on arrival. We did not have that problem, but you can easily replace them with any dry erase markers of equal size if you want them to fit in the box. The Indifferent: The goal of the game is to get enough correct answers, as a team, to beat scores listed in the instructions. You can play by the rules with scoring, or simply go around and around for the fun & laughs of it. There isn't any strategy beyond the clue selection since you have no control over what everyone else around the table will do. For me, this game is all about the laughs, and we often throw scoring out the window.

Super easy to pick up, great for any age or game-level ability. Good for large groups.
Many games suffer from a challenge of either being too complicated for guests / family of varying ages and "game interest" or being too lame to hold the attention of serious gamers. Or they need a specified number of players but not too many. If you want to keep a game on hand that you can pull out for just about any occasion or age range, Just One is, well, just that one game! I first played Just One at an outdoor gathering around a bonfire with a large crowd of mostly "mature" adults - it was a hoot. I've played it since in groups ranging from 4 to 10 people, with ages ranging from preteen to retirees, it has really held the interest of all. 4 is about the smallest group that can reasonably play. There is one "guesser" each round and the rest of the group writes down a single word (just one word, get it?) to hopefully convey the Guess Word. And of course the Guesser has "just one" guess. The catch is that if you write the same word as someone else, you both erase your word. So you want to be obvious, but not too obvious that others would write down the same thing. One of the most enjoyable elements of the game is seeing the word associations others come up with. And seeing the guesser connect the dots. For example, say the Guess Word is "fire" and you're playing with 5 people. Two players write "smoke" and cancel each other out. The remaining players have "hot" and "employee". MAYBE the guesser will guess "fire" but they might guess "boss" or something on a completely different train of thought. All said, this is a fun game to have on hand, especially for groups larger than 4.

Great game!!
We loved this game. We now have two copies in our home so we can take one on the go with us. Easy to learn/play. You can adjust to all ages and intellect. Room for more than 4 players.

This one seems authentic
The box art is different from the common Just One so was not sure if this is the authentic version given it's 15% cheaper than other Just One listings on Amazon. Seems authentic and pieces are good quality (I mean there's not much to this game). So go with the cheaper listing to save a few dollars.

An actually fun and replayable party game for all
I'm a fan of board games, but I'm not a fan of party games. This works well in small groups (with house rules) as well as larger groups. We've not played it in a particularly large group but can see it would be ore fun in a party (Christmas, and family over) atmosphere. Due to the reading/writing element and some words that wouldn't be in the vocabulary of younger players, it's one of those games that the 8+ rating is about right. Even with an 8yr old you may need to be selective on what words are in play. It's a very easy and quick came to play. Only takes a few minutes to play a few cards and can be tweaked to play as long or short as you like - so pacing is great. However, it's a great concept and well executed in the box. We got it for ยฃ9.99 on a Black Friday deal which was excellent value for money.
