Closed external CO2 reactor for aquaria up to 500 galThis is a hermetically sealed reactor for the introduction of CO2 into large live plant systems. This powerful unit is designed to efficiently dissolve rising CO2 bubbles in strong counter-current water flow. The robust mounting plate enables it to be easily mounted outside the aquarium or inside the cabinet. Able to provide rapid CO2 introduction for systems as large as 500 gallons, the Reactor 1000 has proven to be a capable favorite among keepers of sizeable live plant systems. A: The container is completely packed with the balls.  There is no room for them to move and the device is absolutely silent.

This might be the only CO2 reactor that actually works. Not cheap Chinese plasticky molding like some other offer.I hooked it up to my Ehem Classic 350 (2215) and apart from looking in vain for locking screws for the incoming CO2 tube as well as for the tube you have to cut for the air escape (opposite side of the CO2 in) it looks very good.The way you attach the CO2 tube is simply by sticking it into a flimsy-looking locking tab. Looks too easy to dislodge. That takes one star away. I just emailed Aqua Medic to ask about this.Tips:- when you get it running, and you have a lot of air inside the canister, you escape this air with the air escape vent you just plugged in. This is not explained.- you need a small tube between the lip and the air escape vent- tube is supplied. Proper CO2 hardened tubing
