If you are looking for a PS layout controller for Xbox and PC this works well. Have tested it on series X and windows 11. The rumble is horrible though, feels like a really cheap cellphone from the early 2000s.

I like the ergonomics of this controller as well as the sticks and the buttons. My main point of criticism is the vibration which is very unsubtle and I usually turn it off in games. Also de d-pad is not very good and it squeaks, but I don’t use it much so it’s not a big issue for me.

we stan the hall effect joysticks!! this is hands down the best xbox controller i've ever had. if you are close enough that you can use a wire with this, it's a lifesaver, especially if you have smaller hands. the ergonomics and design of this controller are near perfect. it has a much more comfortable, symmetrical layout akin to the PlayStation or Wii Classic Controller Pro (my beloved), but without extra fluff that makes you need to really stretch your thumbs to reach the face buttons. compared to the official xbox controller, this is much more comfortable long term. the rumble is deep, impulsive and satisfying across Windows, Xbox and Linux (through Steam Input) alike. there's software exclusively for Windows and Xbox that allow you to program the controller (boo, put it on more platforms or on the web! :P), and the controller saves it to its internal memory as well. i don't make use of it, but i'm sure for pro gamers, it's really handy. this thing is built like a tank. the plastic is sturdy, without creaks and pleasing to hold. my hands don't feel weird and greasy after playing for a long times, and it's easy to clean with a damp cloth. the triggers are very much up to preference: like almost every controller ever, they're floating paddles that pivot inward, unlike the ones on the Wii U Pro/Classic Controller Pro (my beloveds), which are more linear. the face buttons are snappy and clicky like those controllers or a PlayStation, so up to preference again (i personally love it), the D-pad is study and tactile (there's a soft, but noticeable response when you press inward), and the joysticks are hall effects! glory be!! there's learning curve to these - compared to analogue, these have a much larger step between each comparable input (for example, if an analogue controller increments from 1-100 in increments of 1, this might go from 0-99 in increments of 3). it ISN'T as accurate as analogue - but it more than makes up for that with how good the sticks feel, and knowing they'll last. 8bitdo outdid themselves with this controller - smaller handed players can rejoice. i personally much prefer this layout, with symmetrical sticks, and the controller itself is just smaller than the one included with an xbox. this is my go-to! lastly, don't get this for anything that's not Xbox or Windows. the other Pro 2 supports many more platforms, has a wired or wireless flavour, and much cuter colours. if you've got a steam deck or android thing, go get that one.

I love this controller! Hall effect analogue sticks add an extra level of precision, all of the buttons, D-pad and back buttons all feel premium quality. To note that if you are using more than one USB extension cable linked together to connect the controller to your Xbox, the pad may not connect. This may be due to power usage of the controller, though it works fine normally, both with the included USB-C cable, and also worked fine with a longer cheaper USB-C I bought separately. It also seems to work fine through the Brook Wingman adapters if you want to use with other consoles, I’ve got it connected through a Brook Wingman XE2 to a PS3 and it works flawlessly (including back buttons), a huge upgrade where I can really appreciate the difference in precision when playing ‘Dead Space 2’ for example. The icing on the cake is that you get a free month of Game Pass included in the box, so it’s an added incentive to buy new rather than second hand.
