Review: Foot Love - These were purchased for my nephew for a gift. This particular brand was recommended to him by another runner friend of his, and he really likes them. They fit well and were well-made, and the price was very reasonable. He said they felt really good on his feet and allowed more foot flexibility. He’s going to give them a trial run when he gets back to Japan, so I’ll update at that point with any new information he has.
Review: Liberate your feet - Very pleased with these shoes. They are light, comfortable, and offer adequate support while allowing for greater flexibility and a feel for the ground beneath your feet. I wear these both inside and out. Not great in the rain of course, and they aren't good for rough trails or when good traction for climbing is important. (The soles have good grip, but the shoes can slip on your feet when climbing, etc.) Otherwise they are perfect for walks on pavement, grass, groomed trails. I started wearing "minimalist" shoes a few years ago when I seemed to be losing sensation in my toes. A few months of taking walks outside in shoes like this did wonders.

For barefoot shoe lovers: these are quite good. The sole thickness is comparable to a similar style Vivobarefoot shoe. Can be kept loose and still fit securely, or tightened up for a very secure fit. Durable sole with semi-aggressive tread, good for hiking. The sole isn’t quite as flexible as a more expensive barefoot style shoe but overall good ground feel. Negatives: all materials are synthetic so foot smell prevention requires constant maintenance. The shoes themselves also have a very strong synthetic smell out of the box. Verdict: very good value and durability. Serviceable barefoot feel and foot articulation.
