NOTE FOR APPLE TV USERS: Make sure that you have a Matter / Thread Hub type device like the 128 GB Apple TV - for some reason 64 GB Apple TV doesnt have the Matter hub in it. Assuming you have a Matter Hub - Works pretty good and connects very easily with Apple HomeKit so I didn't have to download the Aqara app. I will probably buy another for another door now!

J’utilise principalement HomeKit, avec des appareils de différentes marques, et ce détecteur de porte Aqara P2 s’intègre parfaitement grâce à Matter. L’appairage est simple et rapide, et le capteur est immédiatement reconnu dans HomeKit sans difficulté. La détection est très réactive, aussi bien à l’ouverture qu’à la fermeture, ce qui le rend idéal pour les automatisations (notifications, éclairage, alarmes, etc.). La compatibilité Matter est un vrai avantage, car elle permet d’utiliser le capteur avec un écosystème multi-marques tout en conservant une excellente stabilité. Le capteur est discret, bien fini et inspire confiance côté qualité. WICの照明を自動点灯したくなったのですが、反応遅延が大きいとか、WANが死んだら反応しないとかは論外なので、エコシステムにはHomeKit（HomePod mini）を利用し、本センサーでオートメーションを組むことにしました。 我が家はもともとPhilipsHue照明を多数導入していましたので、WICにしてはオーバースペックとなりますが、PhilipsHueのホワイトグラデーション75W相当を利用しました。 （夜間は色味を変える等も見越して...） ただ導入過程でさまざまな課題にぶち当たります。 1. HomeKitに追加できない 2. 付属のマグネットの用途がわからない 3. 取り付け方の説明が大味 4. 電池の絶縁シートが変に挟まってて抜けない 5. 電池蓋が固くて手で開けられない まず1つ目、説明書にはペアリングモード（ランプの点滅状態）になってればOKという記載がありますが、うまく繋がりませんでした。 これはあえて一度電源オフ（ボタン10秒くらい長押し）して、再起動すると行けました。 2つ目、なんか磁石が付いてるんですが用途不明です。説明書にも特に記載がありません。 ChatGPTに聞いたところ、本体↔︎アクセサリパーツの距離が規定距離に収まらない時の補助用部品らしいです（ホントかは不明）。 なので使いませんでした。 3つ目、これも説明書がらみですが、取り付け方の説明書きが大味すぎてよく分かりません。 公式サポートに『動画チュートリアル』があるのでこれを一度見ることをお勧めします。 とにかく添付の説明書は役に立たない点、ご留意ください。 4つ目、まあ偶然のハズレ個体かと思いますが、絶縁シートが電池蓋に巻き込まれてえらい事になってました。 幸い絶縁できてた＋シートが抜けたので良かったです。 5つ目、絶縁シートを抜く過程で電池蓋を開けるに至ったのですが、マイナスドライバーなどの固くて薄い一の字型の工具がないと開けることが困難です（動画チュートリアルにも力が必要と明言されている）。 センサーを貼り付けたあと、電池交換の際には苦労しそうな予感があります。 そんなこんなで困難を乗り越えた訳ですが、センサーの質がすこぶる良くって加点が減点を打ち消しました。 反応速度、反応精度、電灯のオンオフ切り替えいずれもパーフェクト💯で期待通りのオートメーションが組めました。 カプセル型かつ本体サイズが少し大きめで目立つのが惜しいところですが、HomeKit対応ドアセンサーとしては最高峰の商品なんじゃないでしょうか。 今後追加で開閉センサーを仕込みたくなったら本品をリピートさせていただくつもりです。 （黒色のバリエーション展開もお願いします）

This is one of the first Thread- and Matter-based devices from Aqara. Thread devices are still fairly new to market and I've found that some other competing devices are quite buggy. This one was very straightforward and worked exactly as expected. The sensor is supplied with strong adhesive strips and also an optional magnet if required. I found the adhesive was more than sufficient to stick to the door and door-frame. Most older Aqara devices are Zigbee-based and need an Aqara hub, which acts as a Matter bridge to Apple Home, Alexa or Google Home. This sensor directly supports Matter-over-Thread, so no additional hub was required. Instead it connects wirelessly with my Apple TV which contains a Thread border router. Installation to Apple Home was a breeze; it paired very quickly after scanning the Matter QR code and then appeared in the Home dashboard. After that it was very easy to set up automations; I've set it to turn the kitchen heating off if the back door is open. The device responds almost instantly to opening and closing. Time will tell in terms of battery life. I wish all smart home devices were this simple!
