Not sure if it detects any other types of gas. **Q: does it shut the gas off** A: No, an alarm sounds to let you know there is a gas leak. It does not shut the gas off. **Q: Ehat happens when detector is expired?** A: When it expires, it emits a piercing sound. It will continue to do this until it is replaced. **Q: Does it come with lead wires already wired in? How long, what gauge? Thanks.** A: It comes with lead wires they are already wired in 4 or 5 inches long.
