DEERRC plane,water, land aircraft
I was amazed how well this DEERC plane/hydroplane performed. I have been building and flying rc airplanes for the past 40 years and what DEERC has designed here was very well constructed and thought out for its $50 price range. My son and I first tested out the floating capabilities in the 3 acre pond in our backyard and how easy it would steer left and right while in the water. my son decided to give it about 3/4 throttle and within 20 feet it was already in the air and fully responsive to the controls while airborne. The installed stability control did a great job keeping the aircraft both straight and level while in flight. We first tried a grass landing just to be safe and then proceeded to touch and go's right on the pond with no problems at all. We were lucky not to have any hard landings during our 6 minute flight so I can't comment on the durability but after watching a few videos on youtube, it does look like it will be able to survive a medium impact pretty well. Keeping in mind the price point of this plane / boat and the 2 extra props and batteries /charger included, it is a great value that will give you a lot of laughs and smiles

So Much Fun!
I’m an adult in my 40’s. This was easy to fly out of the box. I played with it for 2 days on a small lake and it’s soooo much fun! Don’t let the fact that it’s made out of foam turn you off either (I almost did) it’s actually very strong! I crash landed it in water, land, got it stuck in a tree and recovered it with a long pole. Still functioning like new! It’s also so light that you don’t need to be worried about taking out innocent bystanders! Tremendous amount of fun for the price! Get it!! Oh, and the battery life claims are true - lasts a long time and 2 batteries is an added bonus! Update: I’ve probably flown (and crashed) this thing for 10-12 more sessions since my initial review. Still going strong! I’m past what little learning curve there was and can now land the thing on a dock and get it to fly much higher! Battery life remains good. I’m still on my original set of props. (It’s nice to know that it came with 2 replacements.) This toy has a great cost to fun ratio in my opinion!

Cool plane, but defective
Plane is really cool, but one of the propellers stopped working after first day using.

versatile, amply powered, light, fast
This is a great deal. It's my favorite RC device (is it a plane? it's more like a sky boat). It flies brilliantly. It lacks the control surfaces to be truly acrobatic (not necessarily a bad thing), but has strong twin engines and a large elevator, and exceptional automated stabilization. My 12yo, who doesn't fly usually, was able to keep it aloft, in decent wind, no problem, and even did a couple touch-and-gos. I've flown at least a dozen flights myself, and this plane is a treat. we love it. We've only had a few hard landings, no crashes, but it looks great. For fun, I added carbon fiber supports to make it more rigid. It is a blast. It flies like a boat. You point it into the wind and it plows through it like a ship at see. The range is excellent. Note, due to lack of wings, if you lose too much speed, it will fall straight down like a rock (like an A10), so don't let that happen. This is not a glider. It is easy to fly, but it's fairly fast, small, and needs some room. Keep it moving, it is light with strong engines, so use them. I love this plane, I want more!

Deerc galaxy ship(amphibious aircraft)
This is a new take on the old airhogs storm launcher that everyone loved in the mid 2000s...but smaller. It has a surprising amount of power for 3.7v(1s) and flies quite well in calm conditions. It can handle some wind with experienced flyers but does have a tendency to rock in a breeze. The dual rates on the TX are a nice touch but high rates are a must when flying. The built In gyro system does a good job of keeping the craft in a stable attitude but can also be quite intrusive in some aspects of the flight characteristics as it won't allow you do loops, etc but it is very fun to fly in high alpha(stalled). One thing to be careful of is it has a limited range and gets out of range quick if your not careful, also I feel the supplied batteries could be improved with a higher c rating because they get worked pretty hard. The jst connector is great because there's a wide variety of batteries that are better suited and will fit right in the plane, like the urgenex 1s 850 and ovonics 1s 850. Noticeable improvement of punch and flight times. One thing I did notice is it could use some increased elevator authority so I did move the control linkage to the outer hole of the servo horn and it gave the craft much more response. All in all this is a fun little craft for novices and experienced rc'ers alike and is a good platform for deerc to improve it even more. A bigger, brushless version would a big hit!
