Great product and worth it.Looks really nice it fit my 08 Gmc sierra great.I had the oem style one but I bought a hard top cover for my bed and it would fit so I bought this to exchange it and it works perfectly.Great fit and and no trouble when closing the hard top bed cover.Easy to install and has a great finish to it.

A good deal on an awesome problem fit's well. Put this on a 2008 ram 2500. Better than the cheaper versions fit perfectly lasts

For the money this is a really good product for our 2012 GMC 2500 Sierra . the overall molding shape and style really helps the integrity of the design. One very important factor that needs to be taken in consideration is proper cleaning and prep of the surface before mounting it. the areas where the adhesion tape makes contact must be free and clear of dirt of filth. it is very usefull to remove all debris and clean with basic alcohol. this will ensure the cap to properly adhere to the tailgate. if the areas are not cleaned the cap will fly off. also it may not hurt to install a rivot or screw on each end of the interior side of the tailgate to secure. I was really impressed with the overall product and look.

First of all, as with most of the products which I have ordered from Amazon, this tailgate cap arrived sooner than promised. I chose the '5 to 8 day' Free Shipping, and it was delivered in 2 days. Kudos again to Amazon. The install went smoothly. The provided instructions were straightforward and helpful. The best advice is to do a dry run; that is do not remove the backing on the 3M tape and place the cap on the tailgate to find the correctly centered final position. At that point, I marked the outside edges with painters masking tape, removed the cap, removed the backing from the 3M tape and used the masking tape on the tailgate as guides to place the cap in the correct position. It looks great and matches the GM installed bed rail caps on my 2013 Silverado. Further note: I installed this tailgate cap because I also installed a hard tonneau cover which would not fit with the original factory tailgate cap. It was more work to remove the old cap (and its glue residue). Finally, I gave this cap a rating of 4 stars based on its quality, appearance and ease of installation, I reserve the 5th star for durability which has yet to be determined.

Perfect fit on my 2008 Sierra. When I bought the truck the piece there was almost completely broken off and would flap in the wind until I finally ripped it off. Cleaning and scraping the old adhesive was the biggest pain and trying to find the piece I needed were no easy tasks. I decided to get this one and voila! Perfect fit, it looks so nice I'm still surprised when I see it! It can be difficult to install once you take the backing off the tape, so just practice a few times. Looks beautiful and fit right over the liner on the gate so when sliding stuff out of the truck it shouldn't get snagged.

Purchased this to replace my broken tail gate cap. Hardest part was the old adhesive removal. But, once that was over, installing the Bushwacker cap was a breeze. My wife and I both aligned it and it was a perfect fit. Looks very sharp on my 2009 GMC Sierra. I installed during the heat of the day in the sun, about 85 degrees, put a couple clamps to keep it secure for a few hours and it is there to stay. You can’t go wrong with the price this item sells for. Easy for the do it yourself person.

Solid material, covers tailgate as described. Adhesive is good - placed cover in 40 degree weather and used a heat gun to ensure adhesion. Covers all holes; you must remove factory rivets, if installed for proper fitment. Side note: For proper fitment and smooth surface look, you must remove factory rivets and old adhesive. There are YouTube videos on how to do both. I drilled out my rivets (surface) while holding on the inside 8mm bolt with an old socket wrench. I removed the old adhesive with a heat gun, plastic razor blades, and finally finishing up with isopropyl 70% (or another agent if you prefer not to use anything that strong). Cleaned up tailgate; added some black touch up paint for any bare metal - I used black. Install product per instructions... Enjoy! **Do not be lazy, then complain the product is faulty. It is a SOLID product. Do the prep work FIRST!**

Worked out great , I had a 1/2 ton gmc and added a tonneau cover so the original one wouldn’t fit , covered the screw in gmc holes and came down probally a 1/2 inch past the original one , looked better then the original one was super easy to install

Everything was great on my 2007.5 sierra 2500. This cap reaches down a little further in the inside of the tailgate than the stock one so you may have to trim your boxliner depending.

I couldn’t use the item, which looked great but because of 3rd party supplier, I had to pay return shipping costs. For a $102 item, I paid $51 to return it. Could have stored it for 10 years but hey, I guess we keep learning. Good Times. Thanks Mr. Bezos

I took off the "whaletail" oem tailgate cap that bolts on, went with the bushwacker one over the oem. It fit perfectly over the factory bolt holes and covers them, no need to drill them out. Fits perfect and works with my leer cap
