This brewer is better than I expected. Its footprint is smaller than a standard Kcup machine. When using Kcups it brews a stronger cup of coffee, a bonus for my wife and I as we bought this, primarily, for brewing fresh ground coffee beans. It offers 5 cup sizes from 6-14 ounces. For grinding you can set the grinding time from 16-24 seconds. My one criticism is I wish they offered a shorter range of say 12-20 seconds. 16 seconds is already a long time to grind beans for drip coffee. The display screen always displays grind time and cup size (ounces) even if you are just using a Kcup. The selection process is easy and straightforward. Two unique features of this machine are 1.) that twice during the brewing cycle the grinding arm will turn for a second to mix the grounds, and 2.) the beans are ground and the coffee brewed in the same basket in a single process. Terrific. A scoop is provided for the beans. A separate basket is provided if you wish to grind beans in your own grinder. When done for the morning, I take a small square of paper towel and, with a spoon, push it around the rim where the baskets sit during brewing. Some coffee residue collects there, and it’s good to keep that clean. It takes 30 seconds. I ordered a second grinder basket so I don’t have to deal with emptying hot coffee grounds for my wife and I to get our first cup of coffee in the morning. The water reservoir holds approximately 50 ounces of water. It is very easy to replace it on its stand after refilling. This is a great, versatile machine. We love it, and it makes a great cup of coffee. Update - 6 Stars: My one complaint was that this coffee maker’s lowest coffee-bean grind time was 16 seconds. I’m excited to reveal a great work around. You now can have a grind time as low as 1 second. Put the grinder basket in the machine, close the lid, and your cup size and grind time display such as 10/16; 16 being the minimum grind time. If you want only 10 seconds of grinding, start the process like normal and simply watch the timer count down. When the counter gets to 6 seconds, press the “bean” start button again which stops the grinding. Then press the drip-start button in the upper right hand corner. That starts the brewing process, like normal, including the 2 short blade turns during the drip to extract more coffee out of the ground beans. I’m so excited to be able to have any grind time I want now.

Right out of the box, this machine had issues. It wasn't grinding correctly, then it started leaking at the base. I was continually cleaning up the counter. I just recently put it out of our misery and tossed it. I contacted Amazon, and they wanted "video" which I sent. I had bought insurance because this machine cost nearly $600. Insurance should have covered it, nope. Didn't hear anything back, still and it's been 8 months. We've had this machine for probably a year or better. My advice? Do some more shopping and read the comments.

So far so good, great for convenience making coffee as needed rather than a pot at a time. Ground, whole beans or pods seem to work great, the whole bean brewing process is great flavor wise but let some very fine grounds through the filter basket, not a deal breaker for myself, but be cautious of the last mouth full lol .

Finally, a good cup of coffee! After trying many types of coffee, including K-cups (even recently-ground), cold brew, and many others, I tried the Airmsen. It seemed a little complicated at first, but I quickly learned to make a single cup of freshly-ground coffee directly from the beans. I was immediately presently surprised at the delicious fresh taste that I had been missing. I have been using it daily for 4 days now, and look forward to having it each morning. And it is fairly simple to clean after each use. This machine is a great balance between quality and price for freshly ground coffee.

The grind function makes coffee very cloudy and leaves a lot of sludge in your cup. My machine is about 10 days old and I am considering returning it. This morning it made a K-cup and I could smell a faint odour of rubber. I had selected 10 ounces but the machine continued making coffee well past the 10 ounces, so much that I had to put another mug to catch the rest of the brew. Then I tried the grind function for my coffee. I selected 10 ounces and a 16 second grind. The grinder went and then nothing. After about 2 minutes the machine started making coffee. One drip at a time. I got about 3 tablespoons of coffee and the maker stopped. Yes, the reservoir was filled with fresh distilled water. The machine shut itself off. After 15 minutes of listening to my husband savour his coffee I went back to the machine and powered it on. I finally got my morning coffee. The coffee is not clear, very cloudy and leaves a lot of sludge. No grinds. Sludge. **EDIT** I returned this brewer.

Not even one year old and broke. Wouldn’t heat up the water and sometimes worked and sometimes not. Not under warranty with Amazon so called the manufacturer and they wouldn’t replace it. I do not recommend to buy this

As expected as good and easy to use. A little noise when grinding

I hope this machine last long and hope it would still available if I needed a new one. Very compact. Most times, I use beans and it makes coffee smell and taste the best. A few very minor negatives: 1. The hinge on grinder basket is plastic and kept falling off. Need to be very careful when putting back on. I wasn't as careful once and it broke a piece of plastic. Now basket is permanently detached. I just need to remember to place it on top before grinding or it makes a bigger mess. 2. It is a bit more effort to clean after each use compared to other coffee machines I've used. A bit sad for the environment every time I need to use more paper towels to clean up the used ground coffee stuck to various parts of the machine. Again, a tradeoff for how much I like this machine overall. 😀 I like that I have one machine to make fresh coffee from beans, ground coffee, pods, green tea or just hot water for instant coffee or tea. No more need for a separate coffee bean grinder, a container for pre-ground beans, or electric kettle for hot water. Clears up a lot of space on counter. Very versatile and compact!
