Lightweight but sturdy, solid front panels (so it doesn't look like a condom on my big forehead), water resistant, breathable (I sweat a lot) and washable (I sweat a lot). I wanted to use my older and somewhat faded Melin hat (on the left) for work around the house and replace it with a clean black one but the price is always higher than we’d all like it to be. So I gave this a try. This hat is as close to a Melin as I’ve seen so I wouldn’t say don’t get it if you like the look of the hat. It is virtually the same hat without the rubber dot on the underside of the bill, different logos on the side and band. Those are hardly an issue as they are not very noticeable, unless you are all about labels. Unfortunately, for me, the hat is either too tight or too loose on my head whereas the Melin hat feels as though it was specifically intended for my head. Maybe the band was sown in a little too far one way or the other? Bottom line, this hat is worth a shot but it is a knock off of the Melin A-game Hydro.
