If you like dates, then you will love this paste. Buying dates from the store is very expensive. This is a 2.2 lb. pack which is most cases you get maybe a 12oz package at the store and costs nearly as much and that is normal dates in a package. This is a paste which obviously takes a lot more dates to make. It is absolutely delicious! Seriously buy this now and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I don't normally buy food from Amazon but this was worth it. I made a chocolate ganache torte with this, and it was incredible. This is thick enough to just pinch a few pieces off of, but very sticky so using a utensil is best. I have just had this straight out of the packaging though it's sweet enough to satisfy my cravings for sugar without spiking my sugar levels. It comes double wrapped and is relatively easy to scrape out into another container. I highly recommend putting it into an air tight container if you aren't going to use this all at once.

This is definitely an ok product but the flavor is off, at least in the one I tried. I have had a lot of dates in my day and this paste tasted like they boiled down all the worst dates they could find and scooped the paste into a box. I appreciate that its organic and would rather eat bad tasting organic date paste than good-tasting non-organic date paste due to the fact that dates are highly sprayed and fumigated if not organically grown. That said, I have had much better tasting, and much more fresh tasting, date paste many times. Their date powder is a lot more agreeable.
