It is a simple and effective solution that feels like it will last a very long time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great flute stand for alto flute *by S***S on November 6, 2013* This stand works wonderfully for alto and bass flutes. I had originally bought the regular flute stand model from Hercules, but when I bought an alto flute, I found that using it on one of the side pegs it was still a bit tippy. This unit has the hole in the center of the legs which provides much needed stability for the taller alto flute. Note that the peg will NOT work on the holes in the legs, so if you are thinking about just buying this peg to add to your regular flute stand, it won't work - the screw sizes are different. This unit does not come with any additional pegs but the large center one, so you may need to buy additional pegs for other instruments. I have kept an alto flute on the center peg, and a C flute as well as an oboe on the side pegs (from additional pegs i own).
