Great sushi rolling mat! Take it from a professional !
As a sushi chef , I need something that is tried and tested day in and day out . This is my go to sushi rolling mat at work everyday! Easy to clean and be used with rice on the outside rolls and rolls with seaweed on the outside .

Works great
I had tried a bamboo mat in the past but never quite got the knack of it. I found watching a couple YouTube vids to learn some techniques coupled with using this mat helped make rolling our favorite sushi very easy. It’s easy to clean, has small unobtrusive nubs on one side that helped me grip it a little easier while rolling. IMO it also seems more sanitary than the bamboo mats. Wish I had known about this sooner, we plan on enjoying more sushi at home now.

Durable And Worth The Money
Love this brand. Their products are always very durable as long as you make sure to keep your knife away from the fishing line -esque threads. I've seen the hasagawa rolling mats come undone when a thread gets broken but I have personally never had any issues.I've had my mat for 3 months now and use it 5 days a week consistently, and as I have said I have no issues.I love the color and it was definitely worth the price! Highly recommend.

As a sushi chef, I work in a fast paced environment and make hundreds of sushi rolls a shift. These mats are definitely durable and are easy to keep clean.

How to fix broken strings
The media could not be loaded. After months of using it the string broke but unlike other reviews who said theirs broke, what I did was used a fishing line and weaved it back to normal. It works even better than it did before cause I can control how tight I want it. Worth the money and now I don’t need 2 Makisu made of bamboo for my restaurants. I had one with plastic and one without and this does the job from switching.

Awesome!
I like this rolling mat much better than the bamboo ones. I think they must have read the review from Peter because mine is tied together with what looks like fishing line. I really like this mat especially since I like my sushi rolls with the rice on the outside. Works really well.
