2 x UPVC Window Cable Restrictor Lock with Screws Child & Baby Safety Security Wire Tested to British Standards (White)

My daughter is 3 now and with the warmer weather wanted to open her window in the summer, but our new build property doesn’t have any safety mechanism on the window, they just fully extend open. Really quick and easy to install. I be fitted this as high as possible on the UPVC window, so my daughter won’t see it, it’s as close to the roller blind as I could get using the drill. I marked the holes up with a pencil, pre-drilled using a 2.5mm drill bit and screwed them in securely using the UPVC screws provided. Where I’ve placed them the opening is approximately 100mm if I the metal rope is fully stretched. I think this is a really good product which will definitely prevent children from opening windows, with it opening opening to that amount, I don’t think they would fully push it hard enough to damage it.

Had a loft conversion and realised how low the velux was when the kids were playing on the bed underneath it. Ordered these, only needed the one but have a space should I need it. Came with different screws for fixing to different materials. Fixing it to the wooden frame of the velux was quick and easy. It’s all metal so feels nice and secure now it’s in place. Great price for piece of mind and safety for the kids

Very solid piece of kit. Self taping screws bedded well into the uPVC frame. Suggest you play around a bit with placement before screwing down so that you are happy with final positions. Contrary to the fitting instructions, I found that putting the key lock on the opening window as opposed to the fixed section is better, as the cable (when detached) doesn't dangle out the open window.

Great Quality

Really good. I have top hung windows and this worked a treat being attached near the handle. I hardly notice the addition. Very strong, as I once forgot the restraint was on and tried to forcefully push open the window for ventilation, with little luck. I had to drill 4 holes in the window, then manually screw the screws in to secure the restraint to the pvc frame. Took about 10mins to do. Make sure you mark where the holes are to be created first, so that the restraint lines up correctly.

Easy to install and made the windows much safer for my 6 year old child with ADHD and autism. He hasn't been able to break it remove them a d we have peace of mind that he can't open the window the whole way anymore.

Bought this as it was advertised as a two pack and have two downstairs windows, however only received one. The one I have was easy enough to fit and works well, keeps the window open only enough to let air in but not the cat out, however would have liked the second also as the price works out very expensive for one. Tried to sort this out with customer service however had no luck so if you're wanting two i'd recommend buying two cheaper versions separately.

L'ensemble est de bonne facture et fait le travail attendu. Cependant, le câble est assez fin, le dispositif est à utiliser uniquement pour une sécurisation légère ... car il ne résistera pas longtemps à une pince coupante malveillante !
