Do you have to use oil after using this or is it an "all in one" cleaner that also lubricates the bore at the same time?

no oil in this cleaner which is the smartest way to clean you firearm. you only want to slightly lubricate very specific parts. This is great stuff, but buy your oil separately!

It is actually an alcohol based solvent.  The main ingredient is diethylene glycol monobutyl ether.  This is also known as Eastman DB Solvent.  It is biodegradable and is based on either ethylene glycol (antifreeze) or propylene glycol (the base in cough syrup)  Obviously, ethylene glycol is toxic if ingested, whereas propylene glycol is not toxic.For the best answers, look on the M-Pro-7 site, www.mpro7.com, where you find a FAQ and an MSDS sheet that lists its hazards & toxicity (pretty well none)I have found this to be an excellent cleaner, doesn't harm my sights or grips.No, I have no financial interests in M-Pro-7, nor am I a representative of the company. I assume it is okay if this solvent gets in the striker channel since it is not an oil based cleaner, and therefore will not attract carbon correct?

I have cleaned striker channel using various gun cleaners with a q-tip no problem. I have even used clp just be sure to dry as much as you can with a q-tip. If you are talking about getting some in striker channel like over spray I wouldn't worry. If you get a lot in, the striker on most striker fired pistols are easy enough to remove anyway to dry.

Is this water based?

Ingredients aren't listed on bottle but it seems to be water based but not 100% sure. It suds up when sprayed on and has no odor. Use it on my rifles and pistols and works great.
