Jellycat If I were a Wha: Touch and Feel Board Book - Children's Book - Baby Gift

My daughter loves this book! So cute!

I purchased this Jellycat book as a gift, but my little one has two other Jellycat "If I were a ____" books. Like the other JIIWA books, this is cute, it has great textures and colors, and it is very sturdy. If you haven't read a JIIWA book, the basic premise is that if you were ____ animal (in this case, a dog), you would have such and such features. You would have this texture paw, you would eat this kind of food. They are short and have four or five different features of the animal in question. I always feel like these are particularly short books and that the endings do not quite follow. If I were a panda ends with something like, "If I were a panda there would be fireworks," which is just a bit of a non sequitor. This does not bother my little one, though -- she is quite fond of the various textures and colors, particularly the tail that sticks out of the back page. Since you will be the one reading it (over and over and over again), I will say that it holds up less well to repeated readings for adults than other books, but it is quite short.

Above and beyond my expectations! These jellycat books are my daughters favorite. They're perfect for keeping her attention and learning. I buy them for all my shower gifts now

Our child has absolutely adored these books, from 0 mos. all the way through 18 mos. The storyline is short and easy for busy minds to follow, the illustrations are captivating, and the "feeling" aspect of the books provides a sensory experience for developing kiddos. We've gotten at least 5-6 Jellycat Touch & Feel books - and many times bought the accompanying stuffed animals - they're incredibly soft. Highly recommend.

My granddaughter has several of these books and loves them.
