I like this product, seems to be excellent quality; however it is quite large for a 1 ounce age. is there a size without the rubber ring that will fit

This listing doesn't have the foam ring. The coin is centered in the capsule but the outside diameter is larger than the coin. This is the only style without the foam ring that Air-Tite has available. If you need further assistance please call us at 507-722-2601 or toll free at 866-727-4120 and we will be happy to help. ~Kind regards from the crew at OnFireGuy~

can you open it once sealed?

I opened one that had a piece of dust closed on a coin by using a very sharp knife along where it sealed close. It helps if you look closely at how an empty one closes.

does this container fit a 1 oz st. gaudens double eagle

No, you would need to use the H34 direct fit size capsule by Air-Tite or a 34mm ring type capsule by Air-Tite for this coin. If you need further assistance please call us at 507-722-2601 or toll free at 866-727-4120 and we will be happy to help. ~ Kind regards from The OnFireGuy Crew ~

Will it hold a 32.2mm x 2mm coin?

These coin protectors hold standard 1 troy ounce coins like the US gold eagle and the SA Kugarand. Look at the dimensions of those coins and you shall have your answer. You can fit coins smaller / thinner, but will need a spacer to avoid the coin from bouncing around.
