Purchased this product to replace a very very old lawn sprinkler pump. The pump looks and feels well built. Easily transferred pipes from old pump to new one, secure fit, nice stainless steel pump head. At present it is 18 degrees, with snow on the ground where I live! That said, it is going to be a few months before I can actually use the pump for its designated use. I will up date this spring once I see how the pump actually performs.

Like others have reported, the handle bar / stand came installed backwards, thus blocking the ports. Not a huge deal to turn it around, just a few bolts, but what an embarrassing quality control issue. I have three other comments. First, this is not self-priming, it has to be primed. Second, this is not intended to run continuously - it gets hot, it is only intended to be used +/-20 minutes at a time. And third, this is for (relatively) clean water, will not do other liquids, and shouldn't be used on swimming pools, for outdoor drainage, things with algae or debris, etc. Otherwise it's fine, high volume, meets my needs.

Connected a 4 way hose manifold, a couple hundred feet of hose and 4 rainbird sprinklers and the pump worked perfectly.

I love the green expert 1 hp shallow well pump I have bought in the past. Problem with this one it runs 20 minutes, then must cool down 30 minutes before it runs again. I can deal with it, but watering yard takes all day. Appears motor was not wired correctly at factory, but I could not return because I bought this as an extra motor and it sit in storage 1 year until my other motor got flooded with water in rainstorm. Too bad as the motors I had in the past were great.

The pump that i received worked but had a leak within the housing. The worst part was the customer service there was too much back and forth on how to resolve the issue.

Just what I needed , no issues

I really like this pump, but there are a couple of head scratchers about it. First, there is not a word in the instructions - it’s all just pictures. It showed how you needed to take out a hex threaded plug to prime it, but when I looked at the pump the plug was directly under the handle and inaccessible. Turns out the handle was on backwards. Turning it around gave proper access to the plug. Then, I saw that the input and output ports are 1” pipe thread, and they had supplied one plastic adapter to a garden hose thread. Couldn’t they spring for two? I had to order another one. This was a good purchase, but with just a little more attention to detail it could have been a great one.
