Stax was brilliant, first time moving crypto from an exchange to a cold wallet. Watched one YouTube video and was away. Moved a stack of crypto from the exchange to the ledger in under a minute. Definitely recommend for first time cold wallet users, I'm 50 and managed it no problems. So slick and easy to use 12 out of ten. Thank you ledger 🙏 beautifully packaged and very easy to use. All you have to do is go through the setup and download all the aps on the stax that match the crypto you want to move. Could have done it quicker without the YouTube videos but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. Much easier interface to deal with than most exchanges.

Stax was fantastic—this was my first time transferring crypto from an exchange to a cold wallet, and the process couldn’t have been smoother. I watched a single YouTube tutorial and was good to go. In under a minute, I moved a significant amount of crypto from the exchange to the Ledger without any issues. One of the standout features of the Ledger Stax is its e-ink display. It provides great clarity and is easy to read, though sometimes a faint image from the previous screen lingers briefly before fading away. Setting my lock screen to black keeps the display looking clean most of the time. The touchscreen and on-screen keyboard are a huge upgrade over the older two-button setup on previous Ledger devices. Navigating and typing feels much more intuitive and significantly faster, making the overall experience far more seamless. Setting up the device via the mobile app was straightforward, especially with Bluetooth, and the battery life is impressive—it lasts over a month on standby without needing a recharge. Connecting the Stax to my phone through Ledger Live was smooth, allowing me to install apps, update the OS, manage accounts, and even make trades with ease. While the Bluetooth connection did drop out a few times, using the USB-C cable provided a stable connection. Fortunately, after updating the device's operating system, the Bluetooth performance noticeably improved, suggesting Ledger has refined this through software updates. Overall, the Ledger Stax is a well-designed, user-friendly crypto wallet with a modern interface and strong security features. If you're looking for a reliable way to manage and store crypto, this is a solid choice. Highly recommended!

Difficult to read the display at times. I realise that E-ink is a new technology for Ledgers, but just like E-readers, the brightness could be adjustable. Especially at this price.

Whilst I'm only dabbling in crypto, this is a great product that provides peace of mind. The e-ink display is how all electronics should be made - it is clear and sharp and doesn't use much power (guys - make a simple phone!). The setup process was straightforward and allowed me to move my currency to the wallet. On with the HODLing.

Ledger built up a reputation for solid offline wallets so I was eager to give the Stax a go. The Ledger Stax is very different from Ledger's previous wallet designs by being the first one to feature a screen. This change allows for much more direct interaction directly with the wallet and a big plus for me. Setting up the Stax via your mobile phone and the Ledger app is easy enough, you’ll go through a verification and an update process before you get to importing your wallet (or making a new one). Then you can choose which coins to load. The E-ink touch screen is a winner here as it’s so easy to read and use while taking very little battery to power (though charging is easy via USB C or wireless). There is an option to use the screen to display and image of an NFT or a photo from your phone on the lockscreen which I do like. The device has embedded magnets which will mesh with more Stax devices to make up a bit of a bookshelf, though that could get quite pricey. Overall, I am impressed with the Stax, those who already use offline wallets may feel the memory is a little lower than they’d like, but there’s no denying the device is very secure thanks to a host of onboard security features and the form/ function certainly have their appeal.

Looks fantastic and when it works it is seamless. Sadly though it’s bricked twice (so for the love of god make sure you have the SP stored somewhere. This really isn’t acceptable from the flagship product of the supposed flagship hardware wallet provider. As I said when it works it works great but the reliability leaves a lot to be desired.

Compared to the older models, using this is a breeze – the interface is intuitive, and the learning curve is minimal. But the real standout is the screen – it’s a total game changer. Clear, responsive, and futuristic – this feels like the next step in crypto security. If you're looking for a hardware wallet that combines style, simplicity, and cutting-edge tech, the Stax is it!
