By the ninth and final season, Frankie and Mike Heck had hoped to find themselves with an emptier nest, allowing them to cut back on their parental duties. But with Axl now back at home with Brick, they find that hope quickly fading. A recent graduate, Axl returns home from Europe with a new, chill Euro look on life. Although Mike still wants him to get a job, he's getting serious with Lexie -- prompting the dreaded meeting of their families. Meanwhile, Sue and her neighbor, Sean Donahue, will have to work out their unrequited feelings for each other. And Brick decides to break up with his quirky girlfriend, Cindy, so that he's not tied down and can finally be more popular. But, because he's a Heck, things probably won't go quite as smoothly as he'd like. It's time to say farewell to this average -- yes, most definitely average -- family. Best show ever
Not sure how I missed this gem when it first aired but so glad I stumbled upon it. Hilarious, heartwarming- just perfect. They don’t make tv like this anymore. I will be rewatching every season over again. And again.

A Great Ending.
Like all the seasons, this ninth season for the Middle did not disappoint. Of course it was sad to have the show end, but it was well done. Surprisingly, they managed to get lots of guest stars on for one more appearance. I will miss this wonderful family show, but I have the complete DVD set for The Middle to view for years to come.

AUGH! I can't believe "The Middle is no more!
I have been a big fan of "The Middle" ever since its first season. Loved Brick, Mike, and the rest of the gang. Although to be honest, Sue would get on my nerves, and if I had a kid like Axl, I would have shipped him off to military school as soon as he hit puberty. When I heard they were cancelling the show (and the word got out around January) I was befuddled and bereft. I let out an anguished "NOOOOOOOOO" (how Sue-like) which lasted for months. Even my seasons 1-8 DVD collection were no solace. When I watched the final episode, (and I'd told a fellow Middleite my predictions for the characters), I found out at least one of my guesses were correct - it involved Brick). They're now saying ABC is working on a sequel that involves Sue. I'm hoping that the rest of the cast will make a lot of appearances, as well. And now that the new TV season is upon us, I still keep showing up for Tuesday, 7 pm, and my show's not there. It still hurts. (I really need to get a life.) Still this DVD is a good reminder of why I love "The Middle." It's funny, touching, and makes me glad I have no kids.

Axl is Back from Europe?
We skipped The Middle on DVD for a couple seasons because it was getting a lil expensive. Now, reuniting with the Hecks in season 9, I have to say, the show has done a heckuva job (sorry, lol) re-inventing itself. I'm very impressed. Kudos to the guy who plays Axl, Charlie McDermott.

Absolutely love how they wrapped up this last season. There is not another show like this. Funny without being gross or indecent.

Love the show. Poor packing
Love this show and was sad that the show ended. I bought it to complete my collection for it. But the problem I have was with amazons packing. When it arrived a corner of the case was completely cracked.

I love the middle, so sad it ended. I have been waiting to buy season 9 in stores, but it has not come out in AZ. I found it in amazon and it was great, deliver fast and great price. Now I have my complete series.
