This footrest is exactly as described. The two-piece design offers excellent flexibility, allowing for multiple configurations to suit different needs. Both pieces are comfortable and adjust easily as intended. I’m especially glad I chose the teardrop style—it works perfectly for my setup. I’ve experimented with several of the suggested configurations and can see how the various options would accommodate different preferences and ergonomic needs. For me, this was an ideal choice. The overall design and construction appear to be high quality and durable. When used with socks, the surface is very comfortable, and the base grips the floor securely when in use. Overall, I believe this product offers great value for the price.

I ordered this foot rest to replace a foot rest I've used at work for the past several years. This particular foot rest, by Comfilife, was highly recommended by Wirecutter, which is why I decided to get it. I've submitted a photo of my old foot rest (on the right) vs. the one from ComfiLife (on the left). You will notice that there is a substantial height difference, with Comfilife being much higher. Note that it opens, so it can be used at a lower level (but it's flat). It took a day to adjust to the new, higher rest. But I've compensated by sitting a little differently in my work chair. It is sturdiness, yet soft. The covering can be removed and washed. I love the way it feels! It's definitely an upgrade from my original one. One other comment is that I chose the teardrop shape. I'm not sure how I feel about it. If done again, I'd likely get the classic. If I was at home in a more relaxed position, I might like the teardrop. But since I'm using this at work for ergonomic reasons, I'm not sure the teardrop shape is the best one. That being said, I'm very happy with my purchase. If you have back or hip problems at work, definitely consider getting a foot rest!! Once again, Wirecutter hasn't let me down with this recommendation!

Provides great support for legs and options to flex and stretch knees , calves, ankles and feet when sitting depending on the position of the pillow that you choose. Very beneficial to have positional options and the foam is sturdy enough so it won’t collapse with use. I have knee arthritis and significant stiffness when sitting too long and other makeshift options with pillows and stools were inconvenient and overall not helpful. Also provides a better position for legs and feet when sitting. The covering is soft and comfortable. I st only recommend.

I'm only 4'10" and have bad knees. I was very uncomfortable sitting in the front seat of our car because I couldn't hold my legs at an angle. This pad is the perfect solution. I put it in the car with the curved portion facing the front of the car and the straight side facing me. Now I can hold my legs against the pad and it supports them. It comes wrapped in strong plastic which I left on so I don' t have to wash it. It makes even long trips so comfortable for me!
