Works great, unobtrusive, seals up. It would be nice if they had additional inserts for different wire gauges, but I made it work!

The box itself is really well made, a little small the hardest part was when using a thicker gauge wire it was hard to line them up with the screws since the box is so small, all in all a great product I was using 10/2 wire

Needed a simple underground junction box to repair a rework of the wiring (120 V AC) to a post lamp in front of the house. This worked perfectly for that application. The wires seal using a built in compression nut at each end, but I also applied a bit of silicon grease as insurance at the two places where wires entered the box. Nice little device to join the wires included. Looks like it should last and remain waterproof, but time will tell. As with ANY outdoor 120VAC wiring, make sure it is protected with a quality Ground Fault Breaker. The cost of a decent GFCI breaker is cheap compared to the priceless loss of a single human life. Follow all local electrical codes in your area. If I ever upgrade my post lamp, I'll switch to a low voltage setup. Much safer overall.

3 Starts for a nice junction box and includes multiple wire grommets for the glands connectors. My complaint are the terminals of the terminal block, they do not have the fingers under the compression screws for stranded wire. Since I do a lot of wiring and have wire ferrules around, this was just an annoyance to me. For the 'weekend electrician' please know that if you try to use stranded 18, 16 or 14 AWG wire directly with these terminals, you won't get a good (or safe) connection.

So far so good. I was looking for a connection box that would allow me to install an outdoor lighting under my Pergola. It has been installed for several weeks now where the boxes are exposed to rain, and NO problems so far - thus the reason for the water resistance score - time will tell. I got this to splice together a wire run along our outside fence, as the wire was not long enough to terminate where it was going... Does a very nice job of holding the wires firmly, and an excellent job of keeping out any water from migrating inside.. I would buy another one if the time comes I need something like this again.

Acheter pour brancher le fil du cabanon à la maison. Pas cher, boite semble assez solide. Contient beaucoup de toutes pièces mais fait bien la tâche. Mon conjoint est électricien et il à trouvé les branchements difficiles dû à la petite taille des connecteurs.

I made two submersible tests. The first filled with water quickly. The second I tightened both glands more then the first. It improved considerably but still had water infiltration. Next test will be using shrink wrap connections and tighten further. I would not recommend for submersible, however for garden use should be good. IMPORTANT, always use a GFI breaker or receptacle. Safety first!
