Amba RWHL-SB Radiant Large Hardwired + Plug-in Combo Straight 12 Bar Towel Warmer in Brushed

Unlike the $1500 behemoths of a decade ago, the newer towel warmers can be more easily afforded, installed, and likely take less energy. A luxury in warmer climes, towel warmers and toilet seat bidets are near-necessities for "older folks" in the Northwest. The usual major cost is installation. This towel warmer met nearly all of my requirements: installable by a modestly experienced householder, attractive design, and affordable. Installation would likely be straightforward in most situations. In this case, behind the installation wall was a cinder block foundation for a fireplace. Routing of internal wiring is always fun, especially when retro-baseboard. The timer will be useful; we are still considering trying a Lutron Caséta here. Will have to see if it can take the power requirement of an electric heater element. It would be nice to have it integrated with the rest of the Google Home system.

We bought this heated towel bar in the hopes of doing just that - heating our towels for after showering. There is a certain expectation for what a heated towel feels like right? I was hoping for 'right out of the dryer warm' the reality was not even close actually it was almost laughable. They got a little warm in a few spots depending on how you hung them but again not even worth the effort for the amount of money this things costs. Very underwhelming for the $325++ dollars (plus installation). Wish I would have passed.

Warms the towels nicely, easy connection. Nice to have warm towels at the end of a shower. Can fit up to 4 towels at once

I was pleasant surprised how warm the towels got after reading some of the reviews. The part of the towel touching the bars are nice and toasty. It also looks beautiful on the wall. We did get the programmable switch so it’s easy to turn off and on since the button on the bottom is hard to see if you have it on. We had this installed by our remodeler and electrician and they said it was a straight forward install.

The measurements for layout and mounting didn't match exactly to the unit. I ended up just holding it to the wall and marking the edges of the tubes. They could print the layout onto the box and be able to use the cardboard as a templat, just as some sink manufacturers do with their packaging

Please avoid Amba products. They don’t last 14 months. They will replace the product with a new model that will require an electrician and a painter for installation incurring a large expense.

I leave it on all day. It's not too hot...I do wish it was a bit hotter. Looks great in my master bathroom.
