How many shaves do you get from a Gillette labs heated razor blade?

20 shaves? Wow, I get maybe 5 tops before the blades start to drag on the hairs and the lubricant has worn off. I shave about once every 3 days and keep my razor clean and dry after each use. I’ve actually never met another person who can get anywhere near 10 shaves let alone 20. My beard is patchy and not coarse.

Do you have to use a particular razor cartridges with this razor?

Yes you do you. Have to us Gillette labs razors and they do not have them in the store you have to by from the Gillette labs place.

Does the plastic covering on the base get removed ?
