He can easily push the walker. As the back wheels don't really turn because direct contact with floor is not there it doesn't slide off too fast for him. But the walker changes direction when pushed in straight line because its not that heavy. You should be there to guide your little one though its not accident prone in itself as its quite stable due to its wide base.
